Chapter 12

Harley was sitting at home with the kids while I waited at the airport for Scarlett, Chibs and Happy to get off the plane. She wanted to come so bad but Harlow was having a bad day and was cranky so we thought it was best that she stayed home. I saw Happy's bald head walk towards me through a bunch of people. Then I saw her, she was taller then I expected and that blonde hair, I knew exactly where she got it from. As they got closer I started to get nervous wondering if she was going to like me being her dad.

"Hi Scarlett" I smiled. Instead of words she threw her arms around me and hugged me as tight as she could

"Hi dad" she said looking up at me her clothes looked worn and the shoes she had on her feet were about falling apart.

"Glad your here kiddo. I'm gonna bring you shopping then we'll head home to see mom" I said

"I get to go shopping?!" She asked excitedly

"You sure do and you can pick out what you want, mom already got you some things but I wanted to take you myself" I said

"I don't want to spend your money if you don't have alot dad I understand" Scarlett said as we walked out if the airport

"Scarlett, money isn't a concern when it comes to you kids, don't worry about money darlin'" I said wondering what she had been through to think like that

"Ok" she said quietly as we got into the truck

"What do you like to do for fun" I asked

"I like to read and play with barbies what are the other kids like?" She asked

"Well have to get you some toys then, Abel he's almost 7 hes a good kid, he likes to play outside in the dirt, and Harlow she's still a baby so she doesn't do much, Abel is really excited that your coming" I said looking into the rearview mirror she looked sad

"What's wrong kid?" I asked

"I'm just a little hungry" she said

"Ok where do you want to eat? Well stop on the way to the mall" I asked

"I'd really like a cheeseburger" she smiled

"Well get you a cheeseburger then" I said, she's too much like her mother.

Scarlett and I had a fantastic day shopping, she got everything she wanted and more. I wanted to take her a few more places but I could see she was itching to see her mother as we pulled into the driveway Harley ran out of the house and scooped Scarlett up abd hugged her tight

"Did you have a good time with dad?" She asked

"I did, we did alot of shopping. He spent alot of money on me" Scarlett said

"Good baby you deserve it. I've got your favorite dinner waiting for you" Harley said as she took Scarlett's hand and walked into the house while I unloaded the truck

When I walked into the dining room I smelt my favorite smell Harleys lasagna

"This is your dad's favorite too Scar" Harley smiled

"It is? No one makes lasagna like you mom, do you cook dad?" Scarlett asked

"No daddy doesn't cook good. If he does its yucky and don't eat it" Abel said

"Hey I can make cereal" I laughed

"It's not hard to do that daddy, mommy is the better food maker" Abel giggled

It was nice sitting at the table with my complete family. It was like we were never separated and we have been together since day one

"Mom I'm hungry" Scarlett said as she walked into the kitchen, I turned around from the counter and smiled

"I'll be cooking soon once everyone else is up ok baby?" I said

"Ok, thank you mom for saving me. It wasn't good there anymore" Scarlett said sitting at the table

"I know and I'm sorry I had to leave you like that I just needed to get situated here before I brought you over here and then I lost contact with everyone" I said sitting across from her

"I like it here, dad is really nice and this is a nice house. When do I start school? Cause dad got me a bunch of school stuff" she asked

"Next week they are on vacation right now" I said

"Morning girls" jax said as he walked in holding Harlow and handing her to me

"Morning daddy" Scarlett said as Jax kissed her head

"So I was thinking of heading to the clubhouse so all the guys can meet Scarlett" jax said pouring himself a cup of coffee

"Sure, Scarlett your going to meet all of your uncle's today is that ok?" I asked Scarlett nodded her head

We got ready for the day and headed over to the clubhouse, Scarlett had a blast and took a liking to Bobby mostly because he had fresh baked banana nut muffins for her. Over the next few weeks Scarlett adjusted well to being stateside and being a big sister she was a tremendous help with Abel and doing homework. She loves Jax to pieces they are like two peas in a pod, they do everything together and always ask Abel to join. My life has changed so much in the past few years. I'm so glad I came home.
