Chapter 17
Sets POV

"You see Isaac. When Brice and I first got together he insisted that for our six month anniversary he'd buy me this knife. My favorite knife, I'm not like Deadlox where he has sixty thousand. I have one favorite and it's that one your holding. I wanted to make sure if something happened to me that you'd get it, not your sisters."

Isaac stared up into my eyes clutching the knife in his hand. He looked back down at the beautiful knife, the blade was pure silver and the handle was made from Purple and gold gems swirling down to the bottom where a piece of obsidian was the base.

"This is just for me? Not Izzy or Eve?" He asked hopefully. I nodded my head, and he smiled hugging me tightly.

"Now the reason that knife is so special is that you can only use it once. The blade is pure silver and it will break once it's stabbed someone." I took his hand and twisted it slightly so he could see the sharp end of the blade. "Every time you slice someone the blade gets slowly thinner. "

Isaac nodded eagerly listening to everything I said. He slowly took the knife and placed it back into the case closing it and locking it.

"I'll never let it go." He held it tight in his arms, "Have you ever used it?"

I had. I had used it once before and I regretted it everyday. I has used it on Deadlox years ago. We had been training and I had called for a pause because my nose was broken and I needed to reset it so it didn't heal wrong. He didn't listen so I drew my knife and slashed it across his chest. It was horrible. The metal on the knife makes it so the wound won't close as quickly.

So needless to say Deadlox could have bled out. He's scarred from his belly button to his left nipple. We laugh about it now.

"Why don't you ask your Uncle Ty about that?" He grinned, "And I hope you've been training while I was gone because the minute I'm back to health I'm training you."

"But it'll be some time before you're fully healed." I turned my head to look at Brice who walks over and sets his hand on my back, "You're already over exerting yourself you should sit down and rest." He guided me over to the couch and helped me sit down easier. I just wanted things to get back to normal like they used to be.

Ty POV

"Now take your arm and brace it against my shoulder when I charge you.  Use the bulk of your lower arm then take your knee and go for my stomach."

Never in my life did I think I'd be training an FBI agent in combat the way I was trained my entire life. People like myself were taught a specific way for specific people like us. Assassins. Trained to not play fair and every fight is life or death.

I take two steps back and place a hand on my hip and the other extended down at my side. Adam takes a step back and raises his fists, a habit I have yet to break him of. You won't always have time to raise your fists in any fight.

"Ready?" He nods, counting down from ten under his breathe. When he gets to four I charge, catching him off guard.

Before he can raise his arm to block me I bring my fist into his stomach and launch my head upwards into his jaw. He stumbles back and puts a hand to his jaw.

"What happen to on go?" He muttered moving his jaw slightly.

"What Happened to on Go?" Little Ty asked holding his jaw tears in his eyes. Ghost stood above him with Seto off to the side.

"When someone attacks you they won't say 'on go'. Stand up and try again."

"Ty?" I shook my head.

"When someone attacks you they won't say 'on go'." I repeated those words, "So don't expect me to do the same."  I shook out my shoulders and ran my fingers threw my ever growing hair.

"Again. Back up and we'll go again." He gave me a look but nodded his head. I regained my pose and he did the same.

"Ready?" I nod and he starts his count down. His body tenses at four but I don't lunge. He's expecting that, he's anticipating.

You don't realize when your anticipating it, every movement makes you twitch and loose your focus. Assassins take advantage of that. I flick my foot a bit to the side and it draws his eyes. Just enough to jump forward and jam the lower palm of my fist into his nose, not hard enough to break it but enough to startle him.

I jump back grinning as he grabs his nose blood seeping between his fingers.

"Okay that wasn't fair." He exclaimed pulling his hand back and looking st the blood. He takes the collar of his shirt and wipes some of the blood off his face.

"All is fair in love and war, and I'm training you for war."

"But what if I love you?"

"You can love me when we're not battling. For now I'm your enemy. I'm not Ty, I'm Deadlox. We're enemies. Fight me like you hate me."

I took a deep breathe and stepped back again. I was going to train him rough, I wasn't going to be weak about it.

Deadlox POV

Adam began his countdown but I lunged. He anticipated this and swiped to block me but I stepped up using his knee and flung myself over his shoulder and wrapped my arm around his neck.

My legs wrapped around his stomach and both my arms went around his throat. He choked and clawed at my arms trying to get air.

"Get yourself out of this! Figure it out!" I snapped digging my heels into his stomach. He hunched over and tried to yank me back over his shoulders but I shook myself rapidly. If he can't get a grip on you he can't throw you.

Adam decides that slamming me against the wall behind him would be a good idea. So before he can get close enough I fling myself back over his shoulders, onto the floor and combat roll away from him.m

"Holy hell Ty what was that? You turned into some kind of a monster." I smiled and adjust my shirt.

"Ty doesn't fight like that. Deadlox does, and everyone you'll fight like us will fight the way Deadlox does." I smiled and chuckled, "And you think this is bad? Your training has only just begun"
