Chapter 24
Third Person POV
TW: Self-Harm
Flashback
When Seto was eleven, Ghost was sure of how he would end up being. He came home from a long day of training his other minions to find Seto seated on the living room floor twirling a simple plain pocket knife in his fingers.
"Seto? You're up rather late and out of bed. What do you think you're doing?" The boy smiled and lifted his head to cast a glance at his superior. Ghost flicked on the room light and nearly choked on his own spit in shock.
Blood.
The floor was covered in blood, the couches were covered in blood, Seto himself was covered in blood.
"Seto. What the FUCK did you do?" He screeched in absolute shock, "I gave you a direct ORDER not to kill without my permission. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH OF MY THINGS YOU'VE RUINED."
Seto rose lazily from the floor, the bloody pocket knife falling from his soaked fingers. He made an attempt to walk over to the man, but his legs shook violently and he collapsed part way into the walk.
Concern covered the anger in Ghost's system. He moved closer and knocked the knife away with his foot.
"Seto? " The boy lifted his head dizzily. The room was spinning, "Where are you hurt?"
He grasped his upper arm and was instantly met with a blood curling scream. Instantly he dropped the grip on his arm in shock. He looked down at his palm and it was covered in blood.
"What the fuck happened to you? Get up Seto, move onto the couch. I can't help you on the floor."
There was a pause before he slowly pushed himself up on shaky arms. He didn't stand but rather half dragged himself up onto the couch. Ghost made quick work removing the boys shirt, that had once been white but was now a crimson red.
Who had he pissed off to hurt him this bad?
His entire torso and right arm was torn to shreds. But his left arm was entirely in tact, the one that had been holding the knife. There were no marks on his back or his left side. There were only marks in places that would be easily reached by someone holding a knife in their left hand.
"Did you do this to yourself?" He scolded grabbing a fist full of the boys hair and forcing him to make eye contact. Seto's eyes were foggy but he managed a small smile and a nod.
"I...I wanted to see the blood again." He breathed, his eyes were starting to flutter. Ghost took a breathe for patience and knelt down scooping the boy up forcefully into his arms. The right side of him that was covered in cuts pressed into Ghost's jacket and made the boy scream in pain.
Down the hall he set the boy down on an infirmary bed and went to work setting up an IV and getting everything he needed to stitch up his wounds.
"How long ago did you do this?" He turned back to face Seto, the boy eyeing the IV in his arm almost excitedly.
"Hours ago. When you left to go see the others. Do you let them kill? I want to kill" His eyes fluttered and he struggled to catch his breathe after speaking so quickly.
Ghost chose not to respond and instead began his work stitching up the boys body. Two stitches in, Seto was nearly in tears from the pain.
"Do you want Morphine?" he asked calmly. Seto just shook his head and smiled in the tears.
"No i wanted this. I want to feel the pain." For some stupid reason, Ghost accepted the boys request.
Once his arm and half his chest was stitched, was when Ghost started to realize Seto's heartrate was dropping and he was dozing off.
"Hey hey. Seto stay awake that's an order." He spat shaking the boy slightly. His eyes opened then drooped again and his head laid lazily to the side. "Seto? Seto!"
Ghost rushed to close the rest of the wounds, before grasping the defibrillator off the table. Just in time for Seto to flatline.
He pressed the paddles to his chest nearly four times before his heart beat kicked back on. It fluttered and fluctuated but he was alive. He sighed in relief setting down the paddles and setting his hand on Seto's head.
"I'm so sorry I drove you to this." He whispered softly, "I'm so sorry Harvey."

Seto POV
I remembered the night. I hadn't intended to die in the process. I had just wanted to see the blood again. I had craved, I needed in. My son didn't need to grow up like that; or end up having Brice or myself walk in on him in a puddle of his own blood.
I didn't need to think about this at the moment. I just...I had to focus.
Don't get me wrong, I need to help my children. I just....I need to stop Ghost before we can ever get a chance at a normal life.
Right now I'm wandering the streets of a small German town with Sidearms, Pete and Kenny.
We met up at a small apartment that had been assigned to us. It was a single bedroom apartment which was set up with a series of tech equipment to monitor security cameras that had been set up in the city.
After ordering and devouring an entire pizza each we decided to get a layout of the city and wander around for a bit. See some sites and see if we recognized anyone.
And just for our luck, we did.
Haydz. Ghost's tech nerd, was on a store run. I could see him standing in the window of a computer store with a series of equipment tucked under his arm.
I settled myself into a bench and plucked my phone from my pocket dialing Ty.
"Anything?" He asked, picking up on the second ring. I smiled feeling a sadistic feeling wash over me.
"Haydz. He's wandering town all by himself with no body guards buying tech equipment." Ty's response was a cold chuckle and it made me flash to Deadlox. He cleared his throat.
"Get information out of him. Any way you can. You know the drill." I grinned.
"Sir Yes Sir."
