Chapter 6
Adam POV
We were back home in Germany. Alesa had made it here a few hours after us. We were ready to make our trade. Ready to take Mitchell back to the FBI and have Alesa claim that she found him hobbling around the streets. It was believable, Mitch was useless to us at this point.
"I'll go grab Mitchell." I said standing up. Ty gave me a look but nodded.
"Be fast." I nodded and headed down to the basement walking to their cell. I took a breathe and opened the door flinching at the sight.
Jerome had been moved back to the wall and instead Tyler sat in the chair his eyes closer dried blood covering his chest.
"Sky?" Mitch murmured, "What's going on?" I walked over and reached above his head undoing the cuffs, he sighed in relief and his body slumped foreward, thankfully I caught him. "Are we leaving?"
"You're going home Mitch. Just you." His eyes widened and tears began to drip down his cheeks.
"What? No please Sky. Tyler's sick and I can't leave Jerome." He buried his face in my chest sobbing, his tears soaked the front of my shirt. "They won't last long here Sky..." I pushed him away slightly holding him so he could stand but look at me at the same time.
"I know Mitch. I'm working on getting them out too okay? But I need your help. Can you do that?" He nodded numbly. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a very small SD card. "I'm giving you this and you cannot loose it okay?"
"What is it?" I stepped back and pulled his hands out in front of them handcuffing them together.
"It's just got a very important message on it that you need to give to Ian. You cannot loose this."
"Of course I can do that. I won't loose it." He opened his mouth slightly, "Put it under my tongue they'll never look there." I carefully placed the SD card under his tongue and he closed his mouth.
I casted one last glance over at Jerome and Tyler then lead Mitch out of the room, shut and locked the door, then headed upstairs.
"Oh hey Mitchell. How you doing?" Alesa greeted making his eyes go wide. "Oh didn't you know I work for Deadlox? It's a pity." Mitch started to say something but decided against it and kept his mouth shut.
"He's ready to be taken back to America." I exclaimed pushing him towards Alesa. She caught him and grinned.
"I'm sure Ian will be glad to see him. His little back up team is absolute shit." I forced a laugh. "Also Mitchell you tell No one that I work for Deadlox understand me?" Mitch nodded quickly in agreement. "Good then let's get going."
We blind folded Mitch and brought him outside pushing him into the back of the black SUV. Alesa would remove the blind fold when they were far enough away that Mitch wouldn't find the house.
I watched them leave until the car drove out of site. The others all had work to do and Kyle has just returned from picking up Isaac. They were talking and laughing, they kinda looked like father and son almost, except Kyles got his ghetto purple hair.
"Hey you guys are home" Brice exclaimed ruffling Isaacs hair. "Whatcha talking about?"
"Isaacs first tattoo. I told him he's gotta get like a badass dragon but he disagrees" I chuckled softly setting my head on the back of the couch listening to them.
"He can get a tattoo when he turns 14. For now he's 11 and that's a no." Isaac crossed his arms.
"But I am almost 12 dad. Only three more weeks." He pointed out.
"Yeah 2 years and 3 weeks and you'll get that tattoo. " he rolled his eyes and walked over sitting next to me on the couch.
"How was training?" I asked trying to make conversation as his dad and Kyle drifted into the kitchen to make dinner. Isaac shrugged picking at the end of his shirt.
"Same as usual. The older kids kept picking on me because imma weirdo." I frowned.
"You're really smart. You're not a freak, if anyone in this house is a freak it's probably Kyle." A small smile slipped onto his lips, "I mean who puts milk in there cereal bowl first?" Isaac laughed lightly looking towards me.
"Thanks Adam." He leaned back against the couch, "Are you and Uncle Ty happy together?" I bit my lip and nodded my head.
"Of course why?"
"Because I don't want him to go through all the stuff my dad had to when Veronica left." He sighed, "If you ever leave it'll kill him. I know it will." He suddenly stood up, "I've got homework to do. I'll talk to you later Uncle Adam."
I watched him walk away thinking about what he called me. Uncle Adam. He had always and strictly referred to me as Adam. But I guess I had finally earned my keep, earned the right to be here.
No one questioned whether I was worthy of being around them or staying in this house. If I was worth staying on their side and I had finally won over the last vote.
Both the girls had referred to me as Uncle Adam as soon as they knew Ty and I were together.
I got off the couch and walked to my room. Ty was on his computer on his side of the bed typing away. I crawled up next to him burying my face in the pillow. He stopped typing for a moment and ran his fingers threw my hair before continuing typing.
"Brice says dinner will be ready I'm about an hour." I hummed in response and he chuckled. "So get some rest."
Deciding it was the best in my interest to get some more sleep I closed my eyes and let my mind wander. I tried to fall asleep the best I could.
