Sebastian touched his cheek. He knew he deserved Rachel's bitterness. Gawd, she is beautiful when she is angry.
Rachel: I will say it again...What the HELL are you doing here, Smythe?
Sebastian sighed. How is he going to make things right?
Sebastian: I was in the neighborhood, and decided to check on my favorite girl.
Rachel: You lost the right to call me "your girl" when you left me at the altar like a coward.
Sebastian: You're always going to be mine. Or have you replaced me already with Fish lips?
Rachel scoffed. He has a lot of nerve, Rachel thought. But damn has he gotten hotter? Focus, Berry.
Rachel: His name is Sam, and you lost any say in who I choose to date. And to be honest, I'd rather not talk to you period. You have the nerve to show up after all this time and expect us to what? Go back to being best friends? You're delusional.
Sebastian walked towards Rachel, reaching for her. Rachel stepped away.
Rachel: No! Stay away from me. I don't want to know.
Sebastian: Rachel, I don't deserve your forgiveness. What I did to you, to us...it was wrong. I got scared. You were destined for greatness.
Rachel: Don't hand me that, you were a scared little boy. You hurt me beyond belief. You were right, you DON'T deserve my forgiveness. Now if you will excuse me, I have places to be. Now stay away from me.
Sebastian wrapped his arms around Rachel. He pulled her to him, and swore he felt sparks. Rachel looked like she felt it too.
Sebastian: You still love me, Broadway. You can't deny it. Just give me a chance. Please.
Rachel: What if you bail again?
Sebastian: I won't.
Rachel: Seb, don't.
Sebastian leaned in, and Rachel felt her body betraying her. As she leaned in, Sebastian gently brushed his lips over hers. Rachel knew she should've pushed him away, but she would be lying if she didn't miss his lips. She was ready to give into his kiss, when she was distracted by someone clearing his voice.
*cough*
Sam: Hey Rachel, I wanted to see...oh sorry, am I interrupting?
Rachel jumped back, Sebastian groaned and glared at the intruder.
Rachel: Oh hey Sam, no, I was just about to leave.
Sebastian: Rachel...
Rachel grabbed her bag and hurried to Sam. She needed distance.
Sam: Everything OK?
Rachel: Yes. We are done here. Sebastian... We are done.
Sam looked back and forth at the pair. He put his arm around Rachel, and led her out of the room.
Rachel looked back at Sebastian, who hadn't moved. She knew she had to cut any ties with Sebastian. It did hurt to see the hurt in his eyes.
Sebastian watched her go with the Blonde Ken Doll. He waited until she was gone before punching the wall.
Sebastian: Fuck!!
Rachel was crazy if he were just going to walk away. He needed a plan. He loved Rachel. He needed to show her he was serious. She was the love of his life.
Sebastian sat down at the piano.
