A/N: Back for another chapter. Glad that you're enjoying the story. We left off with Sebastian trying to talk to Rachel, but Rachel is not ready to forgive. Could Samchel be a roadblock towards a Smytheberry reconciliation?

Rachel left Sebastian staring at her. She was angry that he was back. She knew she couldn't control where he lives or attends school, but why here and why now?
Did he really think a song and some hot kisses were going to erase him walking out on her? She was trying to move forward, but she would be lying if she said she didn't find him utterly gorgeous and wanted to desperately jump into his arms and kiss him like there was no tomorrow.
Rachel was lost in her thoughts, that she forgot her companion by her side, Sam Evans.
Sam walked alongside Rachel to her apartment. He snuck glances at her. He knew he walked into an awkward moment between Rachel and the guy left behind. Then again, maybe he isn't sorry. Rachel was available, hot, super sweet, and he could tell there was history between Rachel and Sebastian, but he decided he wanted a chance with the brunette goddess. Sam was a good, kindhearted country boy who could treat her the way she deserved.
Rachel stopped in front of her door. She took a breath. She wanted to be alone, but didn't want to be alone either.
Rachel: Well, thank you Samuel for walking me home.
Sam: *best Elvis impersonation* You're welcome little momma.
Rachel couldn't help but smile.
Rachel: Um, would you like to come in?
Sam debated. He really wanted to say hell yes! But, he can clearly see she was distracted.
Sam: I actually have things to do, but maybe a raincheck?
Rachel: Sure, I understand.
Sam: Each?
Rachel: Yes, Sam?
Sam: So...that guy back there? Sebastian? Is he your boyfriend?
Rachel: Ex. Ex- fiancé. Let's just say we were supposed to get married, but guess he chose bachelorhood instead. I really loved him, but I guess I wasn't enough.
Sam: But, he is back? For good?
Rachel: I don't know Sam. I can't be with him. It hurts too much.
Sam: So you're single? And does that mean I can ask you out on a proper date?
Rachel: Oh Sam I'm not sure....
Sam: Just one date, and if you still want to kick me to the curb I won't stand in your way.
Rachel: Well...I guess it would be nice to spend time with someone I feel so safe with. Yes, I'd love to go out with you.
Sam fist pumped the air. Rachel couldn't help but giggle.
Sam: Well I will call you. Goodnight Rachel. * He leaned in to softly kiss her.*
Rachel: Good night Sam. Sweet dreams.
Sam: They will be as long as you're the star in them.
As Sam gave her a final kiss, he turned and walked home. Rachel blushed. Until she felt her phone vibrate. She looked down and saw it was from Sebastian.

Ugh Rachel thought angrily as she opened her door, throwing her bag down. Why can't he leave me alone. Maybe a date with Sam is just what she needed to wipe out any memories with Sebastian. She had to. She couldn't risk falling in love with him again. Why couldn't she let him go.
As Rachel took her shower and climbed into bed, her mind betrayed her and she thought of Sebastian.

A few minutes later, her phone buzzed again before she went to sleep. She chose to ignore it.
The text read
Take a chance. I'm still in love with you.
Forever, Sebastian.
Just across the University, Sebastian sat in his room with a beer in hand, reading Rachel's text. Does she not know him? Sebastian Smythe never let's go. 'I WILL make you my wife, Broadway. "
Tomorrow he will decide on how to win her back and get rid of Trouty Lips.
