Chapter VII: Suicide Forest

— Training is over, you can go home now, — Proudly said the elder bat after two weeks of training.
You decided to came back to your home first, you needed some rest after so many training. You opened the portal and went to your room, heading to the kitchen, just to see your [family member] sitting at table, looking at you with disgusted smirk.
— What's wrong? — You asked, taken aback by his/her look.
— Come on, don't play innocent, I'm not an idiot, I know you don't sleep in your room these days. Aren't you willing to tell me who is your partner? Or, who are your partners?
You didn't said a word, just went back to your room and closed the door with loud thud.
— Come back, you slut!
You opened the portal again and went to konoha, not wanting to see your home never ever. You headed to hotel, trying to restrain tears, you did not wanted Yami family to ask questions. You started to think about Kiyoshi, how you'd tell him what have you learned. He'd probably be jealous of you, now that you could fly (in bat sage mode, bat-like wings were growing on your back) and casting genjutsu by emitting sounds, controlling your opponents as marionettes for few minutes.
You went to hotel and just when you were about to knock on the door, you heard Kiyoshi's parents talking.
— I wonder when will be sage training over.
— Me too. I hope not soon. I don't think it was right thing to do — letting the complete stranger join our family. She is not even child, she is too big for adoption.
— But we hadn't other choice, we're always on missions and poor Kiyoshi feels alone.
— He could've find good friends, that's it. Before we will have another child.
You turned around and left the hotel.
„What was I expecting? My own family hates me, no wonder Yami family does not need me."
That's it, you were going to live alone. You casted genjutsu on few villagers, earning some money to live on your own. You left Konoha and started traveling, searching for place to stay. You stopped when you saw large, beautiful forest, inhaled the smell of the plants deeply, smiling. That's where you would build your home.

— Where is Jugo? — Suigetsu asked, looking around.
— He is in his room, talking to his birds as always, — Answered Karin, rolling her eyes.
— I heard my name... Do you want something, Suigetsu? — Jugo entered the kitchen with a bird on his shoulder.
— Nothing, I was just wondering if you were not hungry, so I could eat your food too.
— Sorry to disappoint you, I'm hungry. — Jugo took a seat next to Orochimaru, who seemed to be spaced-out.
— So, what did the bird said? — Asked extremely bored Karin.
— It said that there is one haunted forest, when people enters it, they start harming theirself.
— Suicide forest? — Suigetsu almost choked by food, — I heard of it too. I bet there is someone controlling those people using genjutsu, making them commit suicide.
— Don't talk while eating food, why are you all so bad mannered? — Orochimaru sighed.
— Hmm, I'm surprised that you aren't interested in that genjutsu caster. I thought you'd like to steal his or her body or use that person as test subject, — Suigetsu said.
— He is acting strange, — Replied Karin, — Experimenting rarely, eating less food... Maybe he misses his creation... Oh, I mean, son.
— Now you're spying on me, eh? — Orochimaru said, narrowing his eyes.
— It's just obvious that you aren't your old self.
Orochimaru frowned. Truth was that he could not find you, that's why he was so upset.
— Let's go, explore that forest, it will be better if you'll start experimenting on other criminals, instead of innocent people.
— First time I agree with Karin, — Suigetsu stood up from the table.
