The Bat Sage (Orochimaru X Reader)

Chapter X: Hideout

Another little bit awkward chapter :D

— Why am I even here? — You asked. One week passed since you were living in hideout. You were staying at comfortable room, he doesn't seemed to plan on moving you to the prison cell or performing experiments on you. You were really confused and bored, just sitting there, doing nothing.

— Because you have nowhere to go, because ANBU members are after you... — Orochimaru answered.
— Oh, you decided to open homeless shelter or something? Because I'm not useful at all.
— Don't say that. You don't have to be useful, you're not an object to be used. I want to be useful to you... besides, you are useful, you make this dreadful place bright with your presence.
— Hmph. — You felt your face turned pink at his words.
— Well, will you eat something or are you still think that I plan to poison you?
You weren't eating food they were giving you, remembering that he erased his own son's memory for some stupid reason, instead you were summoning bats, asking them to bring food. When you were training at the bat cave, the elder (vampire) bat and it's wife (fruit bat) were feeding you on blood [deal with it https://media.giphy.com/media/Z333PmXQ3pQHu/giphy.gif ] and fruit, so you were used to eat their food.
— I don't want, you might erase my memory like you erased your son's.
— How do you know that? — His eyes widened.
— I have my ways. I know you wanted to make him strong ninja without feelings and weaknesses, but he is still child who needs love,  everyone deserves to have sweet childhood memories and etc. You remember everything but you're still a great ninja.
He had guilty look on his face when you finished talking, as if like he was about to cry or something, you could not stand watching him suffer, especially because of your words. No, he had suffered more than enough, he deserved happiness. You put your hand on his shoulder, grasping tightly as you awkwardly tried to comfort him.
— Now, don't be sad, you were driven by kind reason. I will eat your food if it will make you feel better, but promise me you will not erase my memories too. Even though I don't like most of them, I'm not sure I want to forgot everything. — You instinctively hugged him and he hugged back, shocked by your sudden action, he wasn't used to hugs, especially wasn't expecting one from you.
— I will not erase your memory. I can eat pieces from your food, just to show you it's not poisoned.
— You don't need to do that, you might have antidote anyway, — You laughed.
You two were too busy talking to hear soft knock.
— Hey, have you seen Orochimaru-sa... — Karin opened the door and froze at the sight, her mouth wide open. She quickly cleaned her glasses to see better, not believing what she just saw, — Oh... I'll go. Don't mind me.
You departed from him with slight blush on your face.
— What do you want, Karin? — Orochimaru asked, noticeably disappointed by interrupting.
— N-nothing. I just wanted to talk about one test subject.

Oro's POV

„I had strange feeling when I was hugging [Y/N-S] (S means suffix, insert chan, san, sama or whatever you want him to call you xD or nothing if you don't like suffixes). I had warm feelings before, love and pride was filling my heart when I held my baby boy, but this is different, much stronger and for some reason my heart starts beating faster, as if I'm afraid of something. Yes, that's it. I'm afraid that she will run, I'll lose her trail again and will not be able to protect her. Yes, that must be fear (Awww poor Oro is so confused about his feelings). I felt comfortable into her arms, I'm so mad at Karin, damn her. I followed her towards test subject, leaving lovely [Y/N-S]'s room behind."

Karin's POV

„I returned to my room after finishing all tasks, sat down on my bed and started thinking.
What did I just saw? What was that? I thought Orochimaru-sama wasn't interested in that kind of stuff. Is he going to lose innocence in the age of 60? Or 65? How old is he again, 1000? What the... I don't like this at all. Just him was scary enough and now this creepy woman... I'm afraid of her! I saw she was drinking blood, ewww. And she can control people... Wait what if she was controlling him too? No, I don't think so, I think she can control people only few minutes and Orochimaru-sama is acting weird longer than minutes. That's it, he is in love. I'll help him, I guess, I know how it feels to not to be with the one you love. He saved me and he was always treating me well, especially well compared to how he was treating others. I don't want him to suffer the way I did, even if I have to live with more monsters. I hope none of them will kill me one day."

Normal POV

It was late night already when Orochimaru and Karin finished their work at the lab. He headed to your room, wanted to check if you were still there before getting ready for sleep.
However, he heard strange sound from your room, as if you were crying or something.
He swiftly entered your room without knocking, just to find you sleeping, probably having terrible nightmare.
— Wake up, [Y/N-S]! — He shake you slightly, not wanting you to suffer from nightmares, — Wake up, it's just a dream, I'm here, you're safe.
— Yeah of course I'm totally safe here, with some criminal-ass mad scientist, — You hardly opened your eyes and yawned.
He shyly hugged you to calm you down, which made your face become redder than tomato. You hugged him back, played with his hair and carefully started caressing his back, not sure if it would make him angry or not.
— This place is so scary, I'm still not used to it and your test subjects might run and end up in my room, trying to find the way out, because this place is like freaking labyrinth, — You started whining, not wanting him to let you go anytime soon, — W-Will you s-stay with me t-tonight, O-Orochimaru-sama? I'm scared of being alone in this creepy place.
— Of course I will. J-just tonight? You might need more time to get used to this place, — He replied, slightly stuttering, with a small blush, — You don't need to use suffixes, unless you want to.
He laid down beside you, hugging you carefully to not to hurt you, as if you were made with paper or something. He immediately fell asleep, being tired from all the work in lab.
