Chapter 9

Percy POV

"What do you mean Annabe--" Hayden interrupts with a honking horn.

"Were you going to go in ahead of us or what!" Caedyn calls from the passenger seat of Hayden's car.

"Yeah Annabeth, I'm astonished at you," Lilly calls pulling up in her white Jeep .

"Sorry guys we were talking and sort of forgot about you " I say.

"Perce!!! Howyadoingbro?" Hayden says quickly, hopping out. It's nice to have new guy friends. Mortals are so uncomplicated.

"Great!" I say giving him a bro hug.

"Help!" I hear a cry. I pop my head around the corner of the car. Oliver is standing there with three gym bags, three backpacks, and a book bag.

"Sorry bro," Hayden and Caedyn say. They go and grab their gym bags and backpacks off of Oliver's mountain. 

"C'mon you guys we still need the finalized schedules and locker numbers." Annabeth says impatiently Lilly and Alivia are at her side with crossed arms and tapping feet.

"Race you!" I laugh. I race Hayden and Caedyn to the front of the school.

"Boys.." I hear the girls mumble as they and Oliver walked behind us.

I see Annabeth smile though, she's glad we have the opportunity to settle down with other kids our age.

Oliver POV

I'm melting. Or rather my heart is melting. Annabeth is wearing glasses, and she looks adorable. Sadly, so is Percy. Yet another secret they share. We get our schedules and my locker is still right next to Annabeth's. In addition to that we have every class together. The gods just want it to happen what can I say?

Hayden and Caedyn have lockers right next to mine as well, then Lilly's locker was right next to Percy's and Alivia's locker was on the other side of Hayden's. Wow, all together. The chances are so low, I'm baffled.

"Lemme see your schedule Annabeth, " Percy says reaching over Annabeth's shoulder and snatching her schedule out of her hands.

"You don't need to see my schedule! You already know that we have everything but architecture together!" Annabeth says jumping up to grab her schedule out of Percy's hands.

"Are you still going to try out for captain of the water demons this year?" Caedyn asks me. I've always managed because I somehow am always injured during swim season, but this time I'm not.

"Ya I'm pretty sure, that why I brought my swim bag" I say

"What's the water demons?" Percy asks.

"The... swim team?" Annabeth says.

"What?"

Percy POV

I didn't know there was a swim team, Annabeth never said anything about a swim team. I looked at her mouth agape.

"Oh darn the bell rang. Let's go to first period then," Annabeth says slipping away from my gaze and running ahead with Alivia , Lilly following close behind.

"Hmm... I'm trying out for captain too. You guys will show me what to do right?"

"Yeah, Perce way cool." Hayden says.

"Ring!" The late bell just rang.

"Okay. Let's talk later and go to class now!" We all make our way through the halls to Math.

"Uh oh Drew Trouble," Oliver says.

"Drew?" I turn around and see a boy leaned over Annabeth's desk talking to her a little too close to her face for comfort.

Lilly and Alivia are sitting in front of Annabeth and both seats next to Annabeth are open.... oh hell no, like I'm going to let this dumb jock sit by Annabeth.

"Nope!" Me and Oliver move in sync taking both seats next to Annabeth right before Drew could.

"Darn, sucks for you Drew move along this seat is reserved for Boyfriend of the year." I can't help but snap.

"What the hell?" Drew asks surprised. Both seats behind Annabeth are taken, so that the only ones left are the two in front of her in between Lilly and Alivia.

"You saved us seats, How kind" Caedyn and Hayden step in and sit in those seats.

"Buh bye drew, " We all say.

"What is this Annabeth?" Drew demands.

"This is my boyfriend, you know... Percy Jackson." Annabeth smiles .

"Yep" I say putting my arm around Annabeth and smiling cheekily."Move along "

"I'll get you Jackson, but more importantly I'll get your girl." Drew growls

We all laugh at him while he stalks away. Then the teacher comes in and starts the class.

"Hello class my name is Mr. Olsen. Open your books to page 17,we wil begin with the pythogoreom theorem,"

I groan, "not MATH."
