An Impossible Battle, Part 2

"How is she lasting this long? She should be half dead by now!" Vegeta thought to himself as he punched Segira over and over again as hard as he could. After he punched her a few more times, however, he felt one of his fists stopped by something before it could hit her stomach. He looked down at him fist in shock. "What!?" He thought again in disbelief when he saw that Segira had stopped his fist with one of her hands.

Segira slowly lifted her head up to look at Vegeta; her expression was completely different from before. She gave Vegeta a death glare, her eyes full of rage, before pulling her free arm back and swinging it around to try to punch Vegeta in the side of his head. But Vegeta saw the attack coming and jumped back just in time to dodge her attack, landing a few feet away from her on the rock formation. Segira quickly stepped forward after her attack missed so she wouldn't stumble to the side from the momentum of her attack. After she straightened up, she looked at her hand as if she was studying it, clenching and unclenching it into a fist as she looked at it.

"Darn it, she doesn't have much energy left, I knew I should've stepped in earlier." She said, her voice sounded different though, it was deeper, sounded a bit masculine, and gruff.

Vegeta stared at her in disbelief for a second before smirking and crossing his arms over his chest. "It's about time you showed me something new, for a moment there, I thought I would have to kill you since you were doing the exact same things the whole time." Vegeta told Segira.

Segira paused for a moment before slowly lowering her hand back down to her side and glaring up at Vegeta again. "You're Vegeta huh? You've changed quite a bit from when I last saw you." She glanced at Goku and the others from the corner of her eye before looking back at Vegeta. "And I'm shocked that you would be with Kakarot! What in the universe could've made you switch over to his side!?" Segira growled.

Vegeta blinked and looked at Segira in shock. "What the-? Why is she talking to me like she's met me before?" He thought to himself. But as he looked at her a little more, he noticed that she now looked a lot like someone he had known before, but how could that be? Unless... "Tell me, are you one of those Saiyan personalities the runt has?" Vegeta asked Segira.

Segira snickered. "As a matter of fact, yes, I am. I'm surprised that you knew that about Segira, but I don't want to get into that. I want you to answer my question: Why are you with Kakarot?"

Vegeta scoffed as he looked over his shoulder at Goku and the others as they watched from a distance. "Me with Kakarot? Don't make me laugh! I'm not with anyone, they just decided to follow me around."

"But why didn't you kill him after her killed us, your own comrades!?"

Vegeta's expression hardened when he looked back at Segira. "So that's what this is about, huh? You intervene just to get revenge on me? Well I don't know if you're Raditz or Nappa, but I didn't care if either of you lived or died. Saiyans who can't fight or even take care of a low-class Saiyan like Kakarot is useless to me!"

Segira clenched her teeth and fists tightly. "Why you-!" She yelled as she lunged at Vegeta.

Vegeta smirked and got ready to counterattack, but before he could attack her, she suddenly vanished from in front of him, surprising Vegeta, and reappearing behind him, her back facing him, to elbow him in the back between his shoulder blades. Vegeta was caught completely off guard by her attack and stumbled forward from the force of the hit, but before he could recover, Segira spun around on her heel, brought her leg up to kick Vegeta right in the stomach, hard, and sent Vegeta flying into the sky. Vegeta managed to catch himself in the air and straightened himself up, cringing a little from the attacks Segira landed and coughing a bit as he recovered from getting the wind knocked out of him. He glared down at Segira, but he was surprised when she didn't fly up to him or fire an energy attack at him, then it hit him.

"So even when she's not acting like herself, she still can't fly or use energy attacks huh?" He thought. A grin slowly grew on his lips. "Perfect." If Segira couldn't fly or use energy attacks for long-ranged attacks, then Vegeta had the upper hand. Vegeta pulled his clenched fists back to his sides, charging up energy in both fists, before thrusting them forward, opening his hands to fire an energy wave out of each hand and towards Segira.

"Darn it, why couldn't Vegeta want to fight her after she learns how to fly and use energy attacks?" Segira thought in frustration as she tried to fly and make an energy ball in her hand.

The sound of whistling from above ripped Segira out of her thoughts and made her look up with a lifted eyebrow. Her eyes widened when she saw Vegeta's attack zooming straight towards her, she immediately dove out of the way to dodge it, but once his attack hit the ground, Vegeta stopped the energy wave and started to fire a volley of light yellow energy blasts at Segira. Segira kept running around as fast as she could to dodge the attacks, but she knew she couldn't keep it up for very long.

"I'm gonna get killed if I don't figure something out soon!" Segira thought again.

She looked around at all the rock formations as she dodged Vegeta's attacks, thinking of what she could do, when the thought hit her. She smiled to herself when she had an idea. She quickly ran up to a tall rock formation and started to jump up from one ledge to another, getting up almost to Vegeta's altitude in no time. Once she was high enough to reach him, she jumped off the side of the rock formation and at Vegeta, tackling him and catching him off guard. She grinned at him before wrapping an arm around her neck and choking him from behind, the fact that she was being pulled down by gravity since she couldn't fly made it worse for Vegeta. Vegeta gagged a bit from being choked before grabbing her arm that was around his neck with his hands, pulling her over and off him, and throwing her towards the ground.

Segira gritted her teeth in frustration, glaring up at Vegeta, before looking in the direction she was falling; she was heading straight for another rock formation. Instead of crashing into it, however, she flipped herself around while in midair and landed on the side of the rock formation, bending her legs to absorb most of the impact of her landing, the rock wall around her formed cracks since she landed on it so hard. Not wanting to waste any time, or let gravity pull her down, Segira immediately jumped off the rock wall and shot towards Vegeta like last time. Once she was close enough to him, she threw a solid punch at him, hitting his cheek hard, he was too shocked by her quick recovery to counterattack and he took the hit full force.

He fell to the side a bit from the attack, but before he could recover, Segira grabbed his leg and threw him towards the ground before she started to fall. Vegeta cartwheeled in the air a few times as he fell after Segira threw him, but he finally managed to catch himself before he hit the ground. He shook his head a little before looking up at where Segira was to see her diving down towards him with her tightly clenched fists in front of her. Before he could move out of the way, she slammed into him hard and pushed him into the ground, pushing him deep into the ground before jumping away from him and straightening up. She panted heavily as she stood there, waiting for Vegeta to get up again. After a second or two, Vegeta finally got back up to his feet and looked at Segira with a deadly look in his eyes, growling in anger.

"You little runt...just for that, I'm going to kill you!" He growled at her before getting ready to use a Final Flash. Segira's eyes widened and she tensed up, she wouldn't be able to block it, and if she dodged, then he could just move the attack to follow her. But before Vegeta could fire his attack at her, Goku suddenly appeared right between Vegeta and Segira.

"Alright, that's enough!" He said, a serious look on his face as he looked at Vegeta. "You don't need to kill her for landing a few attacks on you." He told Vegeta.

Vegeta glared at Goku, his attack ready. "Get out of the way, Kakarot, this doesn't concern you." Vegeta growled.

"Yes it does! You're trying to kill the girl that the others and I found!" Goku snapped. "If you want to kill her, then you're gonna have to go through the others and me."

Vegeta paused for a moment and thought about that, still glaring at Goku and Segira, before scoffing and lowering his hands to his sides, the energy that he was charging up in his hands gone. "Fine, have it your way, Kakarot. But you need to stop babying her; she's a Saiyan, so she should start acting like it." Vegeta growled again as he started to float into the air, taking off in a random direction once his feet were off the ground.
