Segira's eyelids slowly fluttered open when she thought she heard someone screaming loudly. Once her eyes were open, she blinked a few times to focus them, but there was nothing to focus on. She was lying in the middle of an incredibly dark void. She slowly stood up and looked around in confusion, but there was nothing but darkness as far as the eye could see.

"Where am I...?" She thought while looking around. "I've never been in a place like this before..."

After a few minutes of standing there in the dark, eerie silence, faint whispers suddenly sounded from somewhere, sending chills up and down her spine. The ominous whispers sounded ghostly, she couldn't make out any words, but just hearing them while being in that dark room was scaring Segira to death. She looked around frantically with a terrified look on her face for a few seconds before quickly shaking her head and taking off in a random direction as fast as she could, not knowing where she was going or where she would end up. But wherever she was going, it had to be better than this creepy place. But no matter how far or fast she ran, she was always surrounded by the darkness and those ghostly voices. After what felt like hours of endless running, something suddenly flew right passed her, something cold and finger-like brushed up against her arm, giving her goose bumps and scaring her half to death as she stopped dead in her tracks, frozen in place. She sensed that something was circling her, but she didn't see anything in the dark room.

"You know, 817, all this running you're doing is just a huge waste of time, both for you, and for us." A masculine, yet ghostly, voice whispered in Segira's ear from right next to her.

Segira's eyes widened and all the color drained from her face, she knew that voice all too well, that voice has been haunting her, both in her dreams and while she's awake for almost 16 years. Segira tried to talk, but she couldn't take in a breath. She also tried to walk or run or at least move her legs, but they wouldn't budge. A deep, creepy, mocking laugh seemed to echo in the whole area, but it still came from right next to her.

"Aw, what's wrong, 817? Scared of a harmless little voice?" The voice whispered again.

"It's not just the voice I'm scared of...it's who's using it..." She thought, she wanted to say it out loud, but she still couldn't get any words out.

"Don't worry; I'm not going to hurt you...yet..." The voice said again before a dark purple shadow suddenly appeared in front of her and took the shape of an all too familiar man.

It felt like her heart stopped, her chest tightened and she felt like she couldn't breathe again when she realized that she was standing face-to-face with the man who started it all, the man that created her and hundreds of other experiments before her that were failed experiments. She couldn't remember his name for some reason, but she did remember how cruel and heartless he was. Even though it was just a shadow of him, her heart was racing now in fear, she was absolutely terrified of him and she stared at him with wide, fearful eyes, she looked like she would die right there from complete fear of this man.

The man smirked and suddenly grabbed her jaw tightly. "Now you listen you little brat, it doesn't matter how far or fast you run or where you hide, I will find you. And when I do, you can say goodbye to your little friends." He told her. Her eyes widened again in horror when he said the last part and he grinned. "What's wrong? Did you really think that I didn't know about them? If you did, then you're dumber than I thought you were, even for a Saiyan." He said that with a slight scoff.

She stared at him with fearful eyes for an eternity after he said that, not saying anything, before she finally broke free from the trance and quickly shook her head, making the man lose his grip on her jaw. "No! Get away from me!" She screamed as she pushed him away with her arms. Instead of hitting flesh and the man stumbling back, however, her arms passed through nothing but ice cold air and his shadow faded away as if it was blown away by wind.
