The room he was placed in was a small one. For now, there were only three things occupying said room; a table, the chair he was sitting in, and himself. His team had been placed in other small rooms by themselves—or so he assumed—when the uniformed “Shinobi of Boston”, as Naruto jokingly liked to refer to them as, rather than ‘cops’ or ‘police’, split them up as soon as they exited the back of the police cars and entered the busy building that they were now in. It had been at least ten minutes since he had been placed in the room with his hands cuffed in front of him and the entire time he had been mentally fretting over the situation.
Where could the Red Bands have taken Samantha? Had she been injured? He hoped not, but the many different traces of blood he had seen both in the house and outside it had him thinking she had been. What about Ryu? Did he know of the situation that he and his team were now in? Saix was another thought in his mind; the dog had been captured by the police and taken away at the same time they had been shoved in the back of the cop cars. He did have a slight sense of relief when he saw it was that man that had seized the Doberman. Surely he knew where to leave the dog and that if the dog was indeed taken to that particular place, then Ryu would be informed of the situation at hand. That was, however, no guarantee that the elder man would be able to help them.
The man sitting in the chair, cuffed, was well aware and understanding of how the situation had looked to the cops that had shown up at the house. The place was in a horrible mess and the four standing in the middle of it all, were the first choice for criminals—the ones responsible.
“It wasn’t us!” Naruto had yelled when the officers pointed their guns and ordered them to lay flat on the ground with their hands behind their heads, “Someone else did this and kidnapped our friend!”
“Naruto, calm down and just do as they say. You’ll only be making the situation more difficult than it already is.” Kakashi had tried to calm his distressed student.
“But Sam!”
“Shut it and just get down on the ground already! There’s nothing we can do right now!” Sakura growled in irritation.
She didn’t much like how things were going much, herself, but Kakashi was right, they didn’t need to make thing worse for themselves. So, though reluctantly, she obeyed the orders of the men and slowly lowered herself face down on the ground and placed her hands on her head, followed by Sai and Kakashi.
Naruto let out a small huff, but finally did as he was told, though halting mid action when he recognized one of the policemen, “Hey, you’re that one guy from the other day!”
Officer Daniel didn’t so much as lower his firearm as he kept his stance with a stern expression on his face, “Yeah, and it looks like my suspicions were well placed. Now on the ground all the way kid.”
The sound of the doorknob turning prompted Kakashi out of his pensive daze, and he lifted his head up to see the man that Sam was highly familiar with.
The officer closed the door and walked until he was just at the table’s edge across from Kakashi. He let the folder in his hand drop down to the table with a resounding slap.
“Who are you all?” Was his first question as he narrowed his dark brown eyes.
“My name is Kakashi and I’m the supervisor for my three students who were granted permission to study under Sam and Master Ryu.”
