"you know ive never been so happy for it to be the last day of term" I said as tom chuckled "you need a rest soph, your tired" "im 30 weeks pregnant what do you expect" I said as I rested my head on his shoulder " I just want to sleep for the whole two weeks off" I said as he chuckled "just think your only back for four weeks after before the baby comes "he said "its weird to think in a couple of months our lives are going to change" I said "i know ive never had a baby, by the time josh came he was fifteen" he said "are you ready, I mean to be dad" I asked him "you know when you told me you were pregnant I was in shook I mean im thirty seven I cant be a dad again, then you left without a trace and I was broken I wanted to hold you and tell you just how sorry I was for ever hurting you I kept picturing a little girl with your blonde hair and my blue eyes running around and I couldn't help but feel excited about it all, I just wanted a family with you and I cant wait to marry you" he said "so that's a yes" I said and he kissed me and he walked into the sitting room to grab his keys "tom, how long is jez staying" I asked "he said a couple of nights, his wife cheated on him the mans down sophie" he said " I know that tom, its just his wife had an affair with my dad its awkward" I said "i know ill talk to him okay" he said as we headed off to school.

I walked into the school as josh walked over to me "please don't tell me you voted for my dad as the best teacher" he said "if you tell me you didn't vote for my mum" I said as we walked into school "you know I think that you'll win most inspirational student" he said "yeah right, knocked up and next year looks like im up to my eyes in dirty nappies" I said "no, the fact that your pregnant and don't let it ruin your plans for the future and yet you are still able to get A's and B's in all your classes" he said "okay joshy what ever you say" I said as we walked into through the hallways. At break I headed to the staff room for my resit results I kept the envelope in my hand and walked down the hall "that's your results" tom asked and I nodded "how you do" he asked "i haven't looked, im dreading it" I said "do you want me to" he asked and I nodded handing him the letter "B" he said "really" "yeah, well done" he said pulling me into a hug "how would you feel about me going to uni" I asked "uni, really" he asked and I nodded "i thought you wanted to wait" "i did but I want to be a teacher, you know that and I thought if I go to uni, next year not this year the baby could stay in the crèche here and I go to a uni near by" I said "yeah, how about we talk about this later okay" he said and I nodded as I headed off to the hall for the awards ceremony.

Tom hosted prize giving "so who's glad its the end of term" he asked and everyone cheered. Ronan won a prize for the student enterprise as my dad walked in and gave a speech about mistakes that he had made and how honoured that he was to be part of the school. Soon the awards were handed out "best art and design goes to sophie mason"i  was shooked but got up and walked to the stage and except the prize "well done doll" tom said kissing my cheek as I took a seat with the rest of the students who won a prize "right, its the award that you've all been thinking of and its student of the term and the prize goes to sophie mason" tom said shooked I stood up and collected the award.

After School I got home and had a bath "i made some dinner" tom said as he walked into the bathroom "thanks" I said smiling and I got out of the bath changing into some clothes and headed downstairs to see a candle lit dinner "baby, thank you" I said to him as we sat down we had just sat down when the phone rang "ill get it" he said standing up to answer the phone "its probably josh forgot his keys" tom said as I took a sip of coke "soph, theres been an accident" tom said looking at me "whats happened" I aske "your dad, there was a hit and run" "is he okay" I asked "we need to go to the hospital, come on" tom said grabbing the car keys as we headed out to the car "he'll be okay right" I asked him as we drove to the hospital "i don't know soph" "ive only just got him back" I said "i know" he said taking my hand. I walked into the hospital and got to reception "im looking for Michael byrne" I said to the nurse "are you family?" he asked "hes my dad, im the only family he has" I said as tom placed his hand on my shoulder "this way" she said leading me to a room where he lay in a bed with wires hooked up to him "is he okay" I asked her "we've stopped the bleeding on the brain but it seems he has gained some long term injuries" "what injuries" I asked " some short term memory loss" "memory loss, will he know who I am" "yes he should do" she said a she walked out of the room and I hugged tom and cried on his shoulder "what if he doesn't know who I am" I said "ssh try not to stress you know what the doctor said sophie, avoid stress" "tom, I am stressing my dad is in a coma and may not know who I am" "don't, well overcome that barrier when he reach it" he said
