After relaxing in the shade long enough, Lapis and Peridot decided to jump in the lake now. There was a short wooden path across the Lake that you could jump off of. Peridot jumped first. She lunged into the air and performed a sloppy triple front flip into the lake. Lapis just simply walked into the lake and fell face flat. They splashed and swam around, trying to not give away that they aren't humans. Suddenly, Abigail screamed. "Where's Mick!!??" Samantha, Billy, and Gordon were now tired of playing around, and they were sleeping in the tent. But not Mick. She was missing. Lapis and Peridot hurried out of the water and came to Abigail. "We'll help you find your daughter," Lapis said, politely. "We will?" Peridot questioned, but Lapis just hushed her. Abigail thanked the two, as they searched the area. After a while of searching, the mom started freaking out more. Lapis and Peridot had given up and were just enjoying the lake now, Lapis being somewhat worried for the mom, and Peridot being puzzled and not caring much. As the two were dipping their feet in the lake, a sudden erupting noise came from the water. It started rippling, bubbling, and making weird sounds. Suddenly, an odd-looking gem monster exploded from the lake, carrying none other than Mick!! The monster was splattered with mud, algae, and dirty water, so it was hard to make out its appearance. But it was one thing. BIG. As Abigail noticed this monster, she fainted. The kids were asleep. Mick wasn't moving, still in the grasp of the large lake monster. Lapis and Peridot had to use their gem powers, because there were no witnesses. They couldn't believe it was a GEM monster. But they couldn't do this alone. They needed someone. Aquamarine. Lapis and Peridot fused, creating the wonderful, teal-colored gem fusion. Using Lapis's powers, they levitated water, grasping the monster in water hands. But they had to be careful, because Mick was still in the monster's hand. Aquamarine striked the gem monster with blades of water, but it wouldn't poof. It roared, instead, waking up the three kids. Billy, Gordon, and Samantha, stepped out of the tent and stared at the battle in amazement. Aquamarine levitated a metal lamppost and striked the gem monster with it. It only made it angrier. It clawed at Aquamarine, leaving some damage. They attacked each other for a while, but finally the gem monster dropped Mick! Mick was about to drown! Aquamarine tried to rescue her, but the monster blocked her off. The three children decided to help and ran towards the lake. "STAY BACK!" Aquamarine warned. Mick was no use. She had drowned, deep in the lake. The mom awoke. She was shocked, as she ran towards the kids, staring at Aquamarine. Aquamarine was mad. She striked the gem monster multiple times with the lamppost and water. Eventually the monster had taken too much damage, and it poofed. Aquamarine bubbled it in a teal-colored bubble. They unfused. Lapis and Peridot looked at the mother. She was confused, terrified, and sad, at the same time. Mick was dead. Abigail hugged her three children tightly, crying. Lapis and Peridot didn't know what to do. Lapis apologized to the mother, but she didn't need an apology. "It's not your fault." Peridot hopped back on Lapis's back, and they flew back to the barn. Next to the flappy-tounged blue monster bubble, was a large teal bubble, with an odd looking gem inside it.
