"Flag, what are you doing?" Coast asked but I ignored him. The deer was feets away, it's antlers pointed at me.
"FLAG!"
"FLAG, MOVE OUT THE WAY!"
I stood my ground and just before the animal approached me, I was shoved out the way. Coast shoved me. The deer huffed and charged at Train and Alice. Alice screamed and Train winced, dropping her and shooting up in the sky with mighty wings. "Damnit Train!" She shrieked, popping her wings and flying up before the crazy deer attempt to stab her. From a distance, I heard Michael and Seven laughing. "Shut up!" I order and to my surprise, they did.
The animal turned around and raked it's hoof on the ground like a bull. Coast let out a string of curse words and quickly scooped me up. "TRAIN. TAKE FLAG." He demanded and Train dived down, snatching me away from Coast's arms. "Be gently for once!" I huffed and Train glared at me, muttering. "Use your brain for once."
"BOTH OF YOU KNOCK IT OFF." Coast yelled, jumping in the air as the deer failed once again to strike. Wirey jerk his bow and arrow from his, back and aimed it at the deer, letting go. The arrow planted itself on the neck, blood spilling out the deer as soon as it made contact. It kicked at the air, begging for mercy but it was too late. It fell down in a second with it's eyes open. Coast flew down and kicked at it. He placed one hand on his hip and sighed. "Crazy thing. I swear, all the animals including bunnies are visious now."
Train flew down as well and threw me off his arms, making me fall on my butt. "OW!" I yelled, glaring at him. He avoided eye contact and Seven helped me up. "Thank you, Seven. You're so kind." I kissed his cheek and he went red. Alice's eyes shot daggers at me and I swear Coast frowned. Wirey just flat out glare at me and Michael shrugged it off and as for Train, he stared dead at me with disbelief. Seven noticed the awkwardness and just as he read my mind, tried to change the subect as quickly as he could but Next saved our lives by flying down with Kry in his arms.
"Found her. It wasn't easy but yeah.." He chuckled and set Kry down who blinked confused. Everyone stared at Next and he shifted, frowning. "Did...I miss something?"
Coast's frown didn't leave his face and he walked away. What was his problem? All I did was kissed Seven on the cheek. What's wrong about that?
Next cleared his throat. "Flag, can you come with me?" He glanced at Kry, who was nibbling on her forearm. I nodded and followed him as he lead me away from the others.
"Flag," he started as we were far off away. I stared at him to continue and he did. ",How old is Kry?" I sucked in some air. "Five." I replied. Next raised an eyebrow. "Really? She has the mind of a fifthteen year old."
"She's a young writer."
"With incredible strength?"
"Incredible strength?"
Next nodded. "Yes. She can tip over a tree with one hand, Flag." He pushed his glasses up and continued. "That's not normal. Not from your generation."
I fidgeted with my fingers. "She's..not normal, Next. She can heal, climb walls, see in the dark, bur-" "Flag. She's the one." Next interupted. I blinked. "The....one?" He nodded, slowly bringing his hands behind him. The one? What is that suppose to mean?
"She was born like that and every thousand years, one of her kinds are. Flag, she's the real thing. She's not man- made or anything like that." Next's word stung me. So Kry is what Doctor Cross was looking for. Kry.... He's going to kill her. I flailed and grabbed Next by the collar of his shirt.
