Take Home

It's been 2 days since I had the twins and I'm going home today. Hayes comes and walks in the room.
Hayes: Are you ready to go now?
Emily: Yea. Can you help me put the twins in their car seats?
Hayes: Yea.

Hayes walks over from the door and helps me put the twins in the car seats. When we are done Joey comes up to the room and helps us get the bags. Once we get back home Joey goes to his house while me, Hayes, Nash and Mark go to mine and marks house. We get inside and me and Hayes head up the stairs with the twins. We get to my room and set the carseats on my bed and unbuckle them. I'm holding Michael and Hayes is holding Madison. We go sit on my bed. Mark walks in a little bit later.
Mark: Awww you guys are gonna make great parents.

I look up and smile at Mark until Michael starts crying. I stand up and start rocking him back and forth.
Emily: Shh it's ok baby I got you.
Mark: Let me hold him.

I bring Michael to Mark and when he is in marks arms he stops crying.
Mark: Haha he just wanted uncle Mark.

About 15 minutes later the twins are asleep and we put them in their cribs. Me and Hayes go sit in my bed so we can talk. I cuddle up to Hayes chest and he holds me to his body.
Hayes: We need to talk.
Emily: I know.
Hayes: If I can have the twins on the weekends you can have them every week day from Sunday night to Friday afternoon.
Emily: Ok that works.

We slowly end up falling asleep. We get woken up around 9:00pm to crying. We get up and go to the twins crib, I grab Madison and Hayes grabs Michael. We start rocking them back and forth.
Emily: Shh it's ok baby mommy has you.

Once we get them back to sleep me and Hayes go lay back down on my bed. 5 minutes later Hayes starts kissing me and we start making out. Hayes takes off his pants and shirt then takes my shirt and shorts off. I stop him from going any farther.
Emily: Hayes s-stop.
Hayes: Why what's wrong.
Emily: Well 1 I just gave birth to 2 babies and 2 we don't have protection and I don't feel like getting pregnant again.
Hayes: But baby please.
Emily: No.

I turn on my side and start to silently cry and Hayes turns on his side so our backs are facing each other. I end up falling asleep again.

          THE NEXT MORNING
I wake up the next morning kinda early and start getting dressed. I look in the mirror and see that my eyes are red and puffy from crying but I just ignore it hoping that no one will notice. I go to the twins crib and look down and I see Madison still sleeping and Michael smiling. I pick Michael up and head down stairs to so I can find something to eat and feed Michael. I walk in the kitchen and see Mark is standing there making breakfast.
Mark: Good morning Emily.
Emily: Morning. What are you ma-

I didn't finish what I was saying because Madison started crying. I head up the stairs with Michael in my arms. I enter my room and see Hayes still sleeping, I roll my eyes. I put Michael in the crib and grab Madison.
Emily: Shh it's ok baby I got you.

After I said that Michael starts crying and now I have both babies crying. I grab Michael and have a baby in each arm and start rocking them back and forth.
Emily: Shh it's ok I have you. Please stop crying it's ok.

They keep crying so I head downstairs and put them in their rocking swing set thing. I turn it on and it starts rocking, they stop crying.
Emily: Mark can you please watch them for a minute.
Mark: Yea.

Mark walks into the living room and sits in front of them. I head up stairs to wake Hayes up.
Emily: Hayes wake up.
Hayes: Mmm what?
Emily: Did you seriously not hear the babies crying.
Hayes: No I did I was just to tired to get up so I thought that you could get them.
Emily: Really Hayes. Can't you at least help a little bit please it would make everything so much easier.
Hayes: Well life isn't supposed to be easy it should be hard.
Emily: Ok I know that Hayes but the twins are your kids to. You helped make them. They aren't just mine. What happened to the Hayes that I used to know when I first moved here. You were so nice and sweet. 
Hayes: I haven't changed Emily I'm still the Hayes you know and love.
Emily: No you're not Hayes. Maybe we need a break. Not break up but a few days away from each other.
Hayes: FINE!!!!!!

Hayes yells at me and walks out of the house and slams the front door. I walk downstairs and grab the twins from their swing thing and head up to my room and shut my door and put Madison in the crib because she is sleeping. I walk over to my bed with Michael in my arms and sit down. I lay Michael down on my lap and start playing with him. I tickle him and he starts laughing. I look at his face and realize how much he looks like Hayes. My eyes start to water and start crying.
Emily: I love you babies so much.

Mark walks in my room. I wipe my tears.
Mark: Are you ok Emily?
Emily: Yea I'm fine.
Mark: Emily are you sure? How come Hayes got mad and walked out?
Emily: He got mad because I told him that he needs to help with the babies and he got mad about that then I told him that maybe we need a break but not to break up just a break and he got upset about it and yelled at me then left.
Mark: Oh Emily I'm sorry. It will be ok I promise I'm always here for you. Ok?
Emily: Ok thanks Mark.
Mark: Yea. Anyways Joeys at the door he wants to know if he can come in your room.
Emily: Yea send him in.

Joey walks in my room and sits on my bed.
Emily: Hi Joey.
Joey: Hey Emily.
