Chapter Five

Trent's Pov.

   Trent was thinking at home. The reason I was mad at my cousin was because I saw what he has done. I gave him so many chances to change but they never worked. Even my parents tried to help. He just ignored us and acted like we didn't say anything to him. It hurt all of us really. We couldn't really do much to convince him.

     I was afraid that he would try to get Paris to fall in love with him and then he would try to hurt her. I didn't have any type of crush on her or anything. I love her like a sister. Our group was like a family to me and I didn't want any of them, especially the girls, to get hurt. I wanted to apologize to Paris. I decided to text her in case she was busy.

Trent: Hey Paris.

Paris: Hey Trent.

Trent: Are you busy at the moment?

Paris: Yes. I'm working at Burger King right now. Did you want to ask me something?

Trent: Not exactly. But it can wait if you're busy.

Paris: What do you mean not exactly?

Trent: I'll tell you when you're done working. You're probably busy right now I bet.

Paris: Kinda. Oh sorry, I got to go. Someone is coming to order. Talk to you later.

Trent: Ok. Talk to you later then. Text me when you're done.

Paris: Ok. I will.

   I sighed quietly to myself. I started waiting and started thinking. Thinking about Bryant again. I knew his parents were horrible and hated us so much. Though when I saw him, he acted liked his parents. I kinda actually feel bad for him a bit. He had to grow up with a crazy family who is rude to others.

    I have no idea what we could do to help. He never wanted my family and I to help. We tried to make him happy at least. But… It didn't work. We finally chose to have his choice to be and do what he wants. Though he probably would get consequences, we weren’t gonna force anything on him. We will let him decide who he wants to be. No matter how much we lose him. My parents would try to help him sometimes when they think it's a good time to. Like when he's not angry.
