It was getting late now. Everyone was supposed to be asleep as it was now approaching 10:00 in the evening, but of course that wasn't the case for some people or someone. Helena was sat up in bed still fully dressed and still going over in her head everything that had happened this afternoon with Dominic. He had wanted to take her back, wanted to be a family again even after everything that had happened. She had a serious dilemma as to what to do, she knew that taking him back could be a serious mistake and that it would show her to the world as weak for taking back the man who cheated on her with Rebecca Davis. But then she still loved him, they had so much history together and so many memories that it was hard for her to just have to throw them all away. Not only that but she had the children to think about they needed their father, Nell more then anyone as she had seemed so quiet since her daddy left.

Taking in a lungful of smoke from her cigarette she was holding, Helena let it out slowly. She hated the fact that her needs for a cigarette were creeping back up. She was ruining her body, she knew she was as that was the reason she had to quit in the first place. The doctors told her that because she had been smoking since she was a teen her lungs were starting to fail on her, not only that but they said if she was to continue smoking her heart would also fail on her too.

"Mum" Billy's heartbroken voice entered the room as he laid eyes upon her sitting there with a tearstained face and a lit cigarette in her right hand.

Looking at him suddenly Helena put out the cigarette quickly and wiped her tears from her face. "What are you doing up love?" she asked running a hand over her face tiredly before looking over at him standing by the door in his PJ's and a folded newspaper in his hand. He looked as broken as Helena's heart and his worried expression as he approached the bed made Helena feel guilty for being caught smoking.

"You're smoking because of him aren't you" Billy asked sadly as he perched himself on the bed looking at his mother properly now, seeing how thin she had become and how messy her hair and makeup was. Looking down from her son's eyes Helena didn't know what to say, she knew how much he worried about her and understood why she should not be smoking. "I know the truth" Billy said suddenly making her look at him slowly as he opened up the newspaper and placed it in front of her so she could read the headline: Dominic Edwards secret affair.

Reading that head line again sent shoot waves through her system, she hated to see the headline and what didn't help were the pictures of him kissing Rebecca underneath. "Where did you find this Billy?"

"In the recycling bin" he said to which she sighed and looked at her precious boy who seemed to share her sorrow in his eyes. "Come here" she whispered stretching her arms out to him to which he didn't hesitate to move over to hug her tightly. Holding him close Helena kissed his temple and gently rubbed his back. "Does Nell know?" she whispered making him shake his head "Good, don't tell her, not yet anyway"

Billy held his mother closer to him "Please don't cry over him mum, he's not worth it" he said softly. Helena knew he was right yet she couldn't help but want to burst into tears that very moment. She hated this, she hated that it was not only effecting her but her children also "I  love you Billy" she said softly "I love you too mum"

Laying there or a couple more minutes in silence Helena let out a shaky breathe before kissing his head and pushing them up slowly "You better get to bed sweetie, and please don't let any of this worry you, everything will work itself out you'll see" she smiled through her lie she didn't know if everything would ever be alright, whether she could ever forgive Dominic for what he had caused to them all here. She just knew she had to protect her children at all costs, to do whats best for them.

Leaving his mums room Billy smiled sweetly at her before closing the door shut behind him. As soon as the door was closed Helena felt the silent tears stream down her face. Curling up in a ball and crying into her knees Helena tried to calm her beating heart down she just wished that she had someone to talk to and to hold right this very second.
