Tommy"So what? The first time all of us are together in months and they're late?" Axl asks impatiently.
AC/DC music is blaring from the speakers in the bar, I guess that's a good thing because I can barely hear Axl who is sitting across from me. Yeah, that's actually a really good thing. As much as I don't want to admit it Axl has a point, this is the first time that the Crüe, Poison, and Guns N Roses have been together at same place at the same time in months because tour takes us to all corners of the globe and April and her band is late.
April is Vince's cousin but you definitely wouldn't know it by looking at them. I guess the story goes that April's mom and dad died when she was small and she was raised by Vince's parents. I've known April since I was in high school and we're really good friends. But she is notoriously late.
"Take it easy." Vince gets defensive over his younger cousin. "She said something about trying out a new drummer."
"Maybe Rockett won't bang this one and break up with her." Izzy mutters and I smile.
Janie was a great drummer, I guess she went to school with Casey or something. It was all great until her and Rikki became an annoying couple. They were together nine and a half months but when Janie started to talk about marriage and babies, Rockett broke that off quickly and it didn't end well. It got to the point where they couldn't be around each other without screaming at each other. Janie had to quit Anarchy before the band started to get a lot of attention because she couldn't handle being around Rikki anymore. We like to joke about her running off to become a lesbian because Rockett turned her off from the male species, I mean we don't know if it's true or not but its funny to joke about and it makes Rikki uncomfortable.
"She turned insane!" Rockett defends.
"You were with the broad for nine and a half months, of course she wanted a commitment!" Bobby reminds him, again.
"Talking about Janie, again?" Mel ask as her and Casey drop down at the table, I didn't even see them walk in.
"I think Rockett is still in love with her." Duff stresses the 'in love' part.
"I am not." He grumbles like a stubborn kid.
"Find a new drummer?" Mick asks, eager to change the subject.
"Look for yourself." Casey nods towards the bar as she steals Duff's cigarette from his lips and he makes a noise of shock before frowning.
I instantly spot April, it's kinda hard to miss a broad with black and pink hair. Sitting on a bar stool beside her is a girl with dark brown hair that hangs down her back. Her elbow is on the bar and supporting her head, her skin is pretty pale. Sticking out of her back pocket is a pair of drumsticks and with her open hand she's drumming her fingers on the bar, she's definitely a drummer.
"Her name is Bella." Mel starts.
"And she's from England!" Casey says in her best British accent.
I glance back over and Bella is laughing at something that April had said, she's got a really beautiful smile. Their order comes and they grab glasses before walking over towards us.
"So what? You just don't drink?" April asks.
"Back home I do, I can't here." Bella tells her.
"Well why not? Is it because you're an immigrant?" The singer questions and the drummer smiles.
"Well considering I'm still trying to get my green card, I don't think an under age drinking charge would help my chances." She admits with a laugh.
"Oh right, I forgot you were like four." April jokes.
"And how much older then me are you?" Bella challenges.
"You're going on nineteen, right?" She asks and Bella nods. "Well, I just turned twenty one so, two years. So shut up, child, before I ground you." April laughs.
Bella and April sit down beside Mel and Casey and instantly everyone looks at Bella. She instantly starts to get uncomfortable and narrows her eyes and pink roses her cheeks. April, Casey, and Mel all notice this and glare at everyone else.
"Stop looking at her like she's going to explode!" Mel snaps at everyone and we all looks away. "Now, this is Bella...Bella...Bella, oh my god! Bella doesn't have a last name!"
"Of course she does!" Casey argues. "She's Bella..." She trails off for a second then her eyes grow. "Oh my god! Bella doesn't have a last name!"
"Guys, take it easy." April speaks up. "Of course she has a last name, it's--" the singer stops and looks at the drummer. "Want me to say it?"
"I mean it's going to come out sooner or later." Bella says.
"You could just be like Slash." April says and nods towards him which makes Bella smile. "Tommy, Rockett, Steven, try to not attack her."
"Now why would be do that?" Rockett asks and crosses his arms.
"You're the reason our last drummer quit." Mel reminds him. "Idiot." She mumbles and rolls her eyes.
"This is Bella Bonham." April says.
It takes a second for that to click in my head. All I could think about was 'what could be that bad? CC and Vince has weird last names'. But Bella Bonham didn't make sense the first time I heard it, I mean the last name did. Then it hit me, John Bonham.
When I look up again everyone is looking at Bella again and asking her a bunch of questions. Bella is trying her best to answer all of them but she looks insanely uncomfortable. I guess that makes sense how she doesn't know any of our names and we know all about her dad.
"Guys!" Mick yells which quiets all of us. "Can't you guys see that she's fucking freaking out?"
Everyone mutters their apologies and Mick starts to introduce all of us. I can see that Bella is starting to calm down and getting used to the loud hectic style of all of us.
"This poor girl doesn't know what she got herself into, huh?" Nikki asks me quietly.
"No, not at all." I agree.
