A few days later April and I are wandering around the mall because we really don't have anything better to do. We have a gig tonight, I think we're playing the Whisky but other than that we have nothing really planned. So wandering around the mall is what we're doing, well April is gossiping but that's sorta in April's nature. The topic of the 'love triangle', as only April calls it, between Tommy, Sebastian, and I quickly comes up again because I honestly think that that is April's favourite topic. We walk into a store as she brings it up.
"So Sebastian hasn't been around lately, did Tommy kick the shit out of him?" She wonders and I roll my eyes.
"Now why would Tommy do such a thing?" I wonder and she groans.
"Because he loves you and Sebastian was in the way." April states like it's completely obvious and I roll my eyes.
"Sebastian went back on tour with Bon Jovi and Tommy didn't beat up anyone." I assure her. "I mean he had no reason to, Sebastian and I were never together."
"So how are things going with you and the other drummer?" She asks.
Things with Tommy have been going well the passed few days, he's keeping true to everything and not forcing me into anything which is reassuring. We've been hanging out again outside of our friend group and things are exactly how we left them. Tommy and I can still laugh and have a good time.
"Swimmingly." I admit.
"I can't swim." April admits randomly and I laugh. "I'm serious."
"You live in California, doesn't everyone surf and drive Volkswagen buses?" I ask win a laugh and she rolls her eyes.
"Does every person in England sit for high tea?" She comebacks and I laugh.
"I'm only joking, but how don't you know how to swim? Especially with growing up with Tommy and Vince?" I wonder.
"What does that mean?" April asks and I shrug.
"The only reason I know how to swim is because Jason kept throwing me in the pool." I admit. "When that happens you learn how to swim rather quickly."
"You know, my family didn't try to drown me." She admits and I nod. "I don't know, I never really put much thought into learning. The chlorine in the pools messes up my hair." April adds as she looks at her fading pink tips. "Do you think I need to re do my ends?"
"They do look a little faded, love." I admit and she frowns.
"I thought so. Maybe I should get them done before the show tonight." April talks. "We might get signed tonight."
"You say that every show." I remind her and she laughs.
"I try to stay optimistic." She admits.
Tommy
"I'm going to murder your girlfriend and your cousin." Casey tells us and points at me then Vince.
"Where are they?" Mel wonders. "We have to be on stage in like twenty minutes."
"You know April, guys." Vince comments dismissively. "She's always late."
Vince isn't wrong, April has been late her whole life. I can't actually think of a time that April was on time for school or rehearsal or anything really. I'm really not all that surprised that April isn't here on time.
"What about Bella?" Casey pokes. "She's usually always on time."
"If I had to guess I'd say that she was with April." I shrug and she sighs.
"How's that going anyways?" Vince asks. "You and Bella being back together."
Bella and I are great, I mean everything is going perfectly. I missed her even though I saw her everyday that we were broken up.
I missed actually talking to Bella and having real conversations, I never feel like I'm having real conversations with Vince, Mick, Nikki, or anyone other than Bella. We talk about things like life and dead, heaven and hell, we talk about the dreams we had the night before and what we think they mean. I feel like we can never run out of things to talk about and that excites me.
I missed being able to touch her, not in any sexual way but just touching her. I missed dragging my fingers across her milky skin as we watched movies. I missed the way how her hands are always cold but knowing her heart is warm. I missed the way her silky curls feel when I run my fingers through it. I miss Bella's hugs and her kisses, I just missed everything about her.
"Great, better than great--perfect!" I admit and he laughs.
"You sure?" Vince asks with a laugh.
"Is there a word for better than perfect?" I wonder and he rolls his eyes.
"As long as you're happy, T-Bone." The singer tells me and I smile.
"Speaking of Tommy's happiness." Mel comments and points behind me.
Bella and April are just inside the bar door but a big security guard is standing in their way. By the looks of what's going on the security guard isn't going to let Bella--our little underaged one--into the bar. Bella is trying to fight and argue but her tiny frame really isn't all that intimidating.
"Is it going to be big bad boyfriend to the rescue?" Vince asks with a laugh and I smile.
"I really don't see a better option." I admit. "I'll be right back."
I walk up behind the security guard and Bella locks eyes with me briefly before going back to arguing with the large man blocking her path.
"Baby, you have to be on soon." I say and the security guard turns around. "You know who this is don't you?" I ask and grab Bella's hand. "This is John Bonham's daughter, my girlfriend, and she has to be on stage in about fifteen minutes. Now is there a problem here?" I wonder and a small smile crosses Bella's face.
"No, no, of course not." He stutters and I smile.
"Good, come on, Bells." I coax and pull her into the bar.
I pull Bella over to a quieter corner of the bar away from everyone and everything momentarily. She bites her bottom lip before smiling and putting her hands behind my neck, I smile down at her and place my hands on her hips.
Bella wears a loose black tee shirt with that word Fuck written on it in fancy white writing, a pair of ripped jeans, spiked Converse, and a crown ring around her middle finger, my baby looks hot!
"Thank you, love, but I had him on the ropes." Bella tells me and I smile.
"Oh I know you did." I laugh and bend down to kiss her lips. "I missed you."
"I missed you too." She whispers and kisses me softly.
"I hate to break this up, I really do, but Queen B?" Mel calls and we look over. "We have a show to do."
"Oh right!" Bella laughs and kisses me quickly. "I'll catch you after the show."
"I can't wait." I admit.
With that my girlfriend turns on her heels and heads back towards the dressing rooms. Vince walks up to me and smiles.
"You're sure cute together." He tells me. "Tell anyone I told you that and I'll bust your jaw."
