Tommy"Tommy, it's going to be dark soon." Bella comments and looks out the front windshield. "Where are we going?"
"You'll see." I laugh and kiss her knuckles. "Don't you trust me?"
Bella laughs and glances over to me with her bluey-green eyes and I smile. I love her eyes so much.
"Of course I trust you, love." She states. "But there is a small part of me that thinks you're going to drive me into the middle of nowhere and bludgeon me." She admits with a laugh and I smile.
"You've got me all figured out, babe." I laugh and she pulls out intertwined hands back into her lap. "Not that much further, baby, I promise." I tell her and brush my thumb on her knee.
"Okay." Bella agrees and puts her hand back on mine.
I drive for about fifteen more minutes before parking the car on the sand at the beach. The sun has just started to set and the sky is turning that warm light orange colour. We get out of the car and the cool air hits us, I watch Bella zip up her jacket a bit more. You can hear the waves gently crashing down on the sand but other than that it's perfectly quiet.
"I don't think I've ever seen a beach this empty." Bella speaks up and I laugh.
"It's still a little earlier in LA for beach goers." I state and she nods.
"It sure is pretty when the sun is setting." She admits as she looks around, I grab Bella's hand and she looks up at me.
"Yeah, I thought you'd like it." I admit. "Come on."
Bella and I walk down closer to the water, leaving sunken footprints behind us. The closer we get to the water the more and more we can smell the salt water. Bella keeps looking around at the scenery, like she's trying to remember every little detail. Bella is a little busy looking around to see the real surprise that Sebastian helped me set up.
About twenty feet in front of us is a burning fire of drift wood that washed up on shore. There's a couple of big blankets set down in front of the fire, with a cooler that I know if filled with beer (because Bella can't drink in bars) and a bunch of junk food (Bella has a bit of a sweet tooth). Sebastian knows a lot of people and he was able to get all of this set up for me...I really fucking owe him.
"Bells." I say and she looks over to me. "Look over there."
Bella doesn't talk at first, she's way too busy looking at what's in front of us. Her hand tightens around him and I smile. I kiss her temple and draw her in closer to me.
"Tommy, you did all of this?" She asks and I smile.
"I did all of it for you, with a little bit of help of course." I say.
"Tommy, I love you." Bella smiles up at me and puts her hands on my shoulders.
My girlfriend goes up on her toes and presses her lips against mine. I smile against Bella's lips and pull her closer to me. We kiss for a while and before she pulls back, Bella smiles up at me and swings our hands.
"I love you too." I tell her. "Come on."
Bella
Tommy and I sit on the blanket watching the fire while the sun sinks in the sky. We drink and eat all sorts of sweets, it's so much fun. I can't believe that Tommy did all of this for me. I love him so much!
"Hey, babe." He speaks up as I sip on a beer. "Want your birthday present?"
"Tommy, you didn't have to--"
"Baby, I wanted to." He laughs and kisses my cheek. "You're my girlfriend and if I want to spoil you on your birthday I'm going to."
"Alright." I laugh and put my head back on his shoulder.
Tommy digs around in his jacket pocket before fishing out a small blue box with a white bow tied around it, he smiles at me as he hands it to me.
"Happy birthday, my love." Tommy tells me and I kiss his cheek.
"Thank you, love." I say as I start to pull at the bow.
I untie the bow and slide it off the box, I remove the lid from the box and I smile. Looking up at me is a necklace, the charm is a bit larger than a quarter and has two hearts in the middle. One heart has the Union Jack in the middle, the second heart has the United States flags in the middle. My two countries.
"Tommy, it gorgeous." I admit as I slowly pull it from the box.
"Yeah? I was hoping you'd like it." He smiles as he takes it from my hands.
"Like it? I love it." I admit as Tommy clasps it around my neck. "I love you." I say for what seems like the thousandth time tonight.
"I'm not ever going to get tired of hearing that." Tommy admits with a laugh and kisses me.
We kiss for a few minutes and I sit up on my knees so I'm closer to Tommy's height. I no more than put my hands on his cheeks and my boyfriend pulls back. I frown and put my forehead on his.
"Love, what's wrong?" I pout.
"Nothing, nothing, it's just..." Tommy trails off and drops his gaze. "I forgot it was your birthday. Sebastian and your brother flying in had nothing to do with me. April and Sebastian helped me with this and your gift. I'm sorry, baby, I forgot your birthday."
"Awe, Tommy." I whisper and kiss him quickly. "You can't forget my birthday if I never actually told you my birthday. April only knew it was my birthday because she stole my wallet." I remind him and kiss him again. "And even if you did know it was my birthday, I wouldn't be mad if you forgot. It's just another day." I say and kiss him again.
"But baby, it's not just another day." Tommy looks up again. "It's the day you were born, it's better than Christmas to me." He laughs.
"God, Tommy Lee, I love you." I say for the thousandth and first time tonight.
We start kissing again and kissing turns into snogging. I crawl into Tommy's lap and I start to unzip his jacket. In response, Tommy pulls off my jacket and starts to push my shirt up but then he stops.
"Babe, you sure about this?" He asks as he catches his breath. "I told you that I'd wait as long as you want and--"
"Yes, love, I'm sure." I promise him and he smiles.
"Works for me." Tommy laughs and goes back to what he was doing.
