I woke up with a migraine and sighed. Something was wrong. My chest felt tight and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I sat up and coughed. Blood. I shook Josh and he groaned. "Let me sleep, Ty."

"Help me." I whispered as I looked at the bright red blood splattered all over our white sheets. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He saw the blood and gasped.

"Shit. Hold on." He got up and picked me up. I felt tears stream down my face as he carried me to the doctors room. He laid me down and I curled into a ball. He got a little metal trash can and gave it to me.

"What's wrong?" Kellin asked. "Never mind. Why isn't he healing?"

"I'm half human. I don't heal." I said between coughs.

"All of us are half human." Kellin said. I looked at Josh and he quickly explained everything. "Test. Now." He drew blood from me and took it to their lab. He started doing other things and that's all I remember until I passed out.

--

"Ty. Baby." Josh whispered. My eyes fluttered open and I saw my mate. I smiled at him and reached up. "You have cancer."

"What?" I whispered.

"Lung cancer. They're trying to find a way to heal you but since we can't go to doctors, we have to figure this out."

"No we don't. Give me my phone." I whispered. He did and I dialled my dads number.

"Tyler!"

"Dad, I need your help."

"What's wrong son?" He replied.

"So remember when mama told you she was werewolf?"

"Yeah. And you're half."

"I don't heal like regular wolves. And to heal, I need blood from who's supposed to be my dad. So, I know my dad gave his blood a lot. I was wondering if you could get it for me." I started crying into the phone.

"Ty, what's wrong?"

"I have lung cancer." I whispered and Josh wrapped his arms around me.

"Yeah. I'll get it ASAP."

"Thanks. I'll come by yours when you have it."

"No. I know where you're at. Don't worry about it."

"The pack members won't like that." I mumbled.

"Well, they can suck it up." I laughed a little and knew he was smiling. "I'll text you when I have it." He said.

"Thanks. Bye dad."

"Bye, son."

I looked at Josh and he leaned in to kiss me. I turned my head. "Babe." He mumbled.

"I'm not gonna kiss you." I whispered.

"You're acting like we're never gonna kiss again."

"What if we don't?" I whispered. "It's not proven that I'm gonna get better."

"But this'll work right?"

"Maybe. It's always fifty fifty darling."

"You're gonna get better. I promise. Even if it means sacrificing myself."

"I love you, daddy."

"I love you too."

He kissed me and I pulled away. "I can't kiss you. I'm sorry." I whispered and looked down. He got up and I grabbed his hand. "Babe."

"No, it's okay." I put my arms around him.

"I don't wanna die." I cried into his shoulder.

"You won't sweetie. I promise." He whispered and pulled me into his lap.

"We didn't even get to have sex or go on a date." I whispered.

"We will. I promise. Trust me. One day, I will fuck you." I blushed and Kellin came back.

"Okay, so, you will need to rest a lot. No more cooking and cleaning all day every single day. No more getting on your knees for him. None of that."

"Okay. But, what am I supposed to do?"

"The house has Hulu and Netflix subscriptions." He replied.

"How long?"

"Anywhere from a month to a couple years."

I looked down and sighed, running my hand through my hair. My phone vibrated. "My dad is here."

I got up and grabbed Josh's hand, making him follow me. "Why is there a human on our land? I know you can smell him!" I heard Pete yell.

"Calm down. Tyler needs something." He said. I opened the door and saw my dad walking up.

"Everyone back off." I yelled to the pack outside. They looked at me and went back to what they were doing. I walked down and met him halfway.

I hugged him and he hugged back, making me smile. I pulled back and he looked at me. "Who's this?"

"This is my mate Josh." I answered. Josh snaked his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

"Nice to meet you." He said. Josh shook his hand and repeated the words. "And if you hurt him, I won't hesitate to rip your fucking head off. Got it?"

"I'm not gonna hurt him. He's too perfect." Josh replied.

"You might not want to say that. Just don't look behind you." Jaime was behind him in wolf form, ready to attack. I caught his attention and made him lay down. He came by my feet and did.

He took off a backpack and gave it to me. We went inside and Kellin took it. He started setting up the transfusion and Ryan came in. "This will work. I know it. You'll be okay within the month." He said.

"Thanks Ross." I mumbled. He smiled and nodded. He can see into the future and knows what's going to happen. It's pretty cool. He came closer and sat beside me.

"It's gonna take a while for Josh to be okay. He's gonna break down and not be as strong. You'll need him and he needs you. Keep him close. And don't be afraid to kiss him."

"Okay. I will." Josh came in and laid beside me, letting me cuddle him. He smiled at us and Ryan left. Kellin came over and set up the transfusion, making me sigh.

Where are you? Vic asked.

Hospital room.

He soon came in and took Ryan's place. "Jaime is still messing around with her." He said.

"I'm gonna cut his dick off." I said. "Bring him in here because I'm tired of him."

"That's too much. You do it Josh. He doesn't wanna talk to me." Josh rolled his eyes and Jaime soon came in.

"How's Jess treating you? Fucking asshole. Don't do that shit to my best friend and your mate. Jess isn't your mate for a reason. Vic is who you should be having sex with. Not her. You do it one more time and I swear I will have your dick cut off. Since you can't keep it in your pants, you might as well not have one. That shit hurts my best friend. You enjoy hurting your mate? The one you have to love till eternity's end. You're demented if you like that. Vic honestly should not be dealing with your shit anymore. But he does. So cherish that, so when you are all alone, you know it's your own fucking fault." I ranted.

"Agreed." Vic said.

"I third that." Josh said. "You're my Beta. You gotta do better."
