I had never planned of seeing her there. Out There. There. There.. And I swear on my life, it was an accident. Mon dieu. But alas, I thought she was perfect. Her auburn hair. Her lilting german accent. The way her green eyes seemed to hold an entire different personality. The small wrinkles on the sides of her eyes when she smiled. How worn her hands looked from labor, but soft to the touch. I don't know if our location was a complete coincidence or a planned hell. Ah, but we managed. And how I loved that managing. Or whatever we had. Sigh. "Mon coeur est a toi, Kristen." She was my sun and sky. My whole day. I admit, I lived for her. The rare times when I saw her on the rooftops. When I could see the lively pink in her cheeks. The joy on her full, deep lips. Every day we shared in the past couldn't have prepared me for what I saw in the future.
