Lucas

Practice has ended and I was on my way to meet Paige. This is her only day off so we were going to get some coffee from Starbucks & talk. I pulled up parking my car, I grab my phone out of my gym back letting her know I was here. She replied saying she was pulling up.

All I want is for us to go back to the way it use to be. I understand that's going to be hard, nothing easy with Paige. I learned that the hard way, as I entered the coffee shop I got me black coffee Venti. I picked a table for us to sit at and played on my phone waiting for her.

Paige

I parked my car in front of Starbucks taking a breathe before walking in. I grab my purse with my keys getting out the car I close and lock my doors.

I walk in and ordered Carmel frappe, as I got my coffee I looked around to see Lucas sitting on his phone.

"Hey" I said giving him a slight smile sitting in front him.

"I thought you wasn't going to come" he said showing his teeth. I shrug.

"So you wanna start?" I ask.

"Paige, I know I put you through so much much when we were young. I was growing and you have to understand that, at a young age I knew I loved you from the get go. I still do, I told you that wasn't going to change and I meant that. All the women's I tried it with... it was nothing like us. It was no spark. I promised you my life I promised you everything and your going to get it one way or another."

I looked into his eyes trying to find that he was lying.. but he wasn't. He was being real to me for once.

"Lucas we go through the same shit every time. I can't keep doing this, I'll always love you and I know you'll always love me. All those times I stayed up late at night thinking about where we'll end up. I swear we would get somewhere but it'll always be no where"

"Remember all those times you had me crying late at night. Going to sleep mad, I swear it's not worth it no more. You hurt me to the core and at some point I hated you... but I had to let that hate go and recognize my worth" I said as my eyes got watery, I held it all in.

"Nobody was there for me but my mother fuckin bestfriend, my mama was there also but she's the one that made me focus and the reason why I'm at where I'm at now in life. Lucas... I'm done here" I finish grab my things and walk out, as I was walking out tears came from my eyes. As I couldn't hold them in, just thinking back I never knew you could feel a heartbreak at such a young age.

~Next day~

I rolled over in bed to check the time, 6:30 it read. I groan not wanting to get up, I had early morning shift at the hospital. I check my phone and seen I had a text from tony.

Tony😍: Goodmorning, if your not busy this afternoon I would love to have lunch.

Smiling at his text I replied.

Me: Love too, I get off at 4:30. So five ?

Tony😍: That'll work see you then😌.

I put my phone down going to get ready for work. "Lord continue blessing me," I said in my head.

- I changed Paige character as y'all can see.

I haven't been on much but I'm back in I'm better!
