--Beep, beep, beep--

I rolled over checking the time on my phone, it was 6:00. I got up and went downstairs to fix a cup of coffee, I sat down on the counter and check my notifications on my phone. I don't have to go in til 7pm, honestly hate night shifts. I went to Instagram to see I was tag in a bunch of post from last night. I look up from my door bell ringing, I hop off the counter to see who it is, I look through my glass to see the one and only Lucas.

"It's to early for this" I said to myself and rolled my eyes. I crack the door open,

"How the hell did you even get my address?" I ask.

"Come on your like a famous doctor in North Carolina." He replied with a smile. "May I come in?" He ask I looked down and noticed a lil girl holding his hand.

I back up opening my door for them to come in, I walk them into the living room to sit down.

"Who's this cutie pie?" I ask sitting on my recliner as they sat on my couch.

"I'm Abby" she said playing with her feet giving me a big smile.

"Oh really? And how old are you Abby?" I ask her, she put up 4 fingers. I smiled, she look just like Lucas.

"You wanna watch tv in another room while me and your daddy talk?" She nodded and jump off the couch grabbing my hand, I walk her into  the den area and turn on the small flat screen.

"What do you watch?" I ask looking into her brown eyes.

"Bubble guppies!" She said with excitement. I turn it to bubble guppies and went back into the living room.

"Never told me you had a daughter" I said sitting back down.

"You never really gave me a chance to actually sit down and talk to you" he said leaning back.

"Maybe I didn't want too at the time, now that I see her I'm interested. Plan on marrying soon?" I ask smiling.

"Paige don't even play, me and her mother don't even get along only for her we do. I get her every other weekend"

"Damn, you don't get along with nobody do you?" I chuckled, He mugged me.

"Paige we never talked about our break up" he started, I got up to fix my coffee as he followed.

"Because there's nothing to talk about" I said getting out my favorite coffee cup.

"It really is" I poured my coffee and getting out my creamer, with sugar.

"Shouldn't you be at practice or something, it is a Saturday" I said leaning on my counter.

"Nah, I don't have practice til 3" he said with a smirk, "speaking of, can you watch her til I get out at 6:30?" He ask.

"I have to go to work at seven." I said taking a sip.

"Wow, 30 mins after I get out I will be on time please?" He ask.

"Wouldn't your baby mama be mad?"

"Nobody cares about her." He said making that face he would make when he gets annoyed. I just look at him, I remember the times we would stay up all night talking about our future...

He snap me out of my thoughts by snapping in my face. "So could you?" He ask

"Sure whatever" I said putting my coffee cup down. "Thank you!" He said picking me up swinging me around.

"Put me down!" I said laughing and hitting him, as he put me down I look into his eyes. He was about to kiss me, but I back away.

"We'll talk when I get back from practice" he said looking at his watch and back at me, I nod.

I walk to the front door with him to wave him off.
