The Quest to Find the Great Lost Hero

Chapter 3: maybe

Jason

Annabeth told everyone to go get some rest. Jason told her that he would take first watch but she insisted upon it. He told her fine but to wake him up for the next watch. And she agreed. The second Jason put his head on his pillow he was sucked into a dream.

Every thing was dark. The only lights where the torches on the wall. Jason was walking down some sort of cave. There was a loud roar that danced across the room. "I've got him! I've got the Son of Neptune!"

Khione cleared her throat. "Excuse me. We got him." Jason moved closer to them. He saw Percy laying flat out on a table. His arms tied together and his feet were tied together. There where two cans sitting next to him.

Percy was knocked out. His face kept cringing like he was in pain. "Haha!" Khione squealed "isn't this just great?"

She ran a nail down Percy's cheek and he moved his face in his sleep. "He's such a cutie this one. Thinks he can destroy Gaea and get away with it. Ha."

"Polybotes. Wake him up." She ordered

"But you're standing right next to him." He argued

"Ugh! fine." She gave in. She grabbed a canister labeled B and sprayed it in front of his face. His eyes opened and he tried to sit up. But he couldn't.

"What?" he said. Khione cleared her throat "oh gods" he breathed out

"Yes. Yes. Yes! we have the Neptune spawn scared!" Khione cheered

"Poseidon, number one, and secondly what am I doing here?" Percy asked

"Well. We were given orders by Gaea before she went back to bed." Polybotes said

"And those orders were?" Percy asked and his face made it seem like he wasn't expecting an actual answer

"We could do what we want to you. But by the time were done and we decide to return you to the mortal world, you won't be the same Perseus Jackson you are now." Khione said with face of pure joy

"Now Perseus be quiet and let us enjoy this moment"

"But wait-"

"You must learn to be obedient Percy."

"And if I don't?" he questioned

She sprayed the canister labeled A near his face and he passed out. "Then this shall happen." She pressed a finger to the middle of his forehead and calmly looked at her nails on the other hand.

Jason wished he could do something. Anything. But he had to listen to Percy's yells and screams of complete pain. "No! Annabeth! please! don't touch her! Jason! keep her safe for me! " He yelled.

Jason felt as if Percy knew he was there, which honestly wouldn't surprise him at all.

Jason woke up covered in sweat. "Oh my gods." He said sitting up.

He crawled out of bed and went to his door. He noticed that it was light out. "Annabeth!" He yelled "you never woke me."

"Yeah." She said as she stuck her head around the corner of the wall. "About that. I couldn't sleep and so I just never woke you up."

"Okay then. But ah. I have something I need to share with everyone" Jason explained.

Annabeth nodded he head and walked back the way she came. A few moments later Jason heard Annabeth over the loud speaker. "Guys. Come to meeting room. Jason's gotta share with us"

Jason walked into the room last. He was surprised at how quickly everyone actually got there.

"Alright. Guys so last night, when somebody didn't wake me up" Jason stressed looking at Annabeth "I had a dream. And Percy was in it."

"Oh my gods Jason what did you see?" Hazel nearly yelled.

"Well. They were in a cave and Khione was there along with Polybotes. But it looked like Khione was running things the way she would boss around the Giant. And they told Percy their plans and how he needs to be obedient or else they'll just torture him mentally instead of physically."

The room was silent.

"So what our next move?" Hazel said "we have no clue where he is"

"Well my best guess is underworld" Annabeth said

"But wouldn't Hades know?" Piper asked

"Look! I don't know everything. They where talking about the Lethe, but the River of Fire is in Tartarus." Annabeth said trying to stay calm. her hands were shaking dangerously fast.

"Can you get to Tartarus from the Underworld?" Leo offered

"Well maybe if you followed them well enough." Annabeth responded "maybe"

Maybe.

At this moment, it was all they hoped for. The positive side if Maybe. Maybe carried a lot of weight because cause its one of those things that could change at any given moment.

Jason hoped that the maybe they would save Percy stayed that maybe.
