Ch 28 : Of Secrets and Revelation of the Past

I do hope I made you anticipate for this chapter though :) Don't worry, I will be immediately revealing who the person is as this chapter picks up from where it left off unlike what I did with Mori xD

Anyway, this is not the end of the Karuizawa arc okay~ This is just the rising action! The climax and my favorite scene by far is next chapter which will come out next week whoohoo!

I heard it from the album of Nirvana by MUCC which was the opening song for InuXBoku SS and thought it's slightly fast-paced tune was good for this chapter. I have no idea what the lyrics mean so if you know Japanese please don't connect its lyrics to this chapter xD

Ielle's POV

"Erei..."

The sudden voice startled me and I sat up immediately, looking for the source. I spotted him behind the tree beside me. A smile formed on my face as I realized it was him.

"What are you doing here?"

"I know your secret, Erei"

I was taken aback and unconsciously gulp. I tried to keep the smile on my face but I could feel a trickle of sweat rolling down the side of my face.

'Secret? What secret? Did he found out I once snagged the chocolate he got from one of our classmates???'

I mentally shook my head at my dumb thoughts.

"Secrets..?"

He stepped out from the shadow of the tree and I could clearly see how his brows were scrunched together. I felt my stomach drop at the pain and betrayal hidden in his furious eyes. I don't know why but I feel a slight tightening in my chest. He leaned closer to meet my eyes.

"I know you're not Erei, Ielle-chan"

Time stopped.

No. It slowed down. The few seconds I stared into his eyes. Those amber eyes filled with hurt. Those eyes who had always looked at me with sincerity despite the devilish grin on his thin pale face.

He seemed even more frustrated at my silence. He stood up straight and placed both hands on his jean pockets. He turned away and faced the sky.

"I've always felt something was wrong with how you act. Whenever you're serious and hosting, you always gave off a manly appeal but the gentleman smile on your face never reaches your eyes", he let out a soft sigh. I watched as small puff of cold air appeared in front of his face. "But whenever I saw you smiling during break hours with only the host club, you were laughing as if you were truly having fun.

"Whenever I saw you smile that way, I always wondered how you a prince, a host, a gentleman, could smile in such a feminine way. And then when you first showed yourself as Ielle during the Christmas Party, I remembered seeing the same exact smile on your face. I told myself you were twins so you naturally looked alike. But when we had to dress up as girls when the Zuka Club came, I realized how effeminate you really were.

"And then today, I actually saw you this morning while on the helicopter. I could see how your long hair was whipping around as you rode your horse. But then just as the helicopter was going farther away, you took your wig off in a secluded place since it was getting in the way of your view on the path. I thought then that you were really Erei but then I remembered how we first thought you were Erei when we first met you"
