Ohayou, you're Majesties! This is Chapter 22! And this will be pretty long since this happened on Christmas and New Year :)

This does not have anything to do with the manga or anime since there was nothing about Christmas and New Year between Halloween and Valentines Day xD

Anyway, this is getting long so let's get on with the story!

P.S. I forgot to put the picture in a hurry haha xD so that's Ielle and Erei four years ago, the last Christmas they spent together :'( I might post a chapter about that but it will take a while :)

Ielle's POV

"Tomorrow's Christmas again huh...?" I asked out loud as I stared at the fireplace. What's Christmas when a family isn't complete? I sighed heavily. It was almost sundown.

Kyrie suddenly appeared beside me and caught something in front of me and held it tight. I looked at her confused.

"A small portion of happiness escapes when you let out a sigh, Ye-chan", she reminded and thrusted her hand towards me. "I caught it. Take it and treasure it while it lasts" She opened my palm and placed her fist on it then closed my fingers. She then took her hand away.

I smiled and swallowed the 'happiness'

"I'll be preparing food for tomorrow. Would you want to invite the hosts?" She asked. I looked out the open window and turned back at her, shaking my head.

"They'll just suspect us if they see that 'Ielle' isn't here...", I muttered. She nodded and bowed then left. I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath.

'Onii-chan... Are you showing up tomorrow too?'

I walked towards my balcony and stared at the huge garden in front of me. Memories of Erei and me playing there flashed through my head.

The sakura tree, where I had caught Onii-chan's arm right before he fell.

The well where Onii-chan almost drowned if I hadn't held his hand and yelled for help.

The gate that witnessed where Onii-chan almost got run over by a car if I hadn't pulled him away.

The swimming pool where Onii-chan tried to teach me how to swim but I never did.

The vegetable garden where Onii-chan and I first tried planting crops.

The greenhouse where our family used to have morning tea in.

... And also where his belongings are buried...

I shook my head.

Ielle, stop thinking about horrible thoughts! It's Christmas tomorrow! Your family needs you happy, not all depressed when your Mom is ill!

I sat on the chair on the corner and stared at the sky. The clouds were thick and I can't see the morning star who had always made me hope for the best.
