[In pencil, scribbles and drawings are variously and aimlessly strewn about. Words are carelessly placed about the page, and occasionally a smudge is etched along the paper]
[In red pen, where scribbles and drawings are not:] This evening was by far the weirdest and most foreign i ever experienced.
[In Pencil, accompanied by a crude stick figure cat with X's for eyes and a tongue sticking out, colored red by a red pen:] Curiosity killed the cat.
[Red pen:] That day i felt as if i knew everything, yet held questions for every answer. i learned that Curiosity was what was burning me, but then that opened up the question, "Why haven't i had this feeling before?"
It was a very quick moving, almost euphoric day. i've always enjoyed thinking, so when i earned a new question every time i answered one, i became obsessed with answering them.
[In brown pen, overtop the random pencil markings:] I was honestly shocked to see you as I walked into that alley. I knew what was happening, but I never could have guessed YOU would be the one. I watched you as we passed each other every so often, and you two were the perfect, law-abiding citizens --both of your own kind. It's almost humorous to look at this page now and see what happened as a result.
[Pencil:] Clouds are the demise of all Happiness Brilliant Sun brings.
[Red pen:] Was it worth it?
[Pencil:] If humans also hide Brilliant Sun, are they the demise of happiness? Or do they not want to be happy?
[Brown pen:] Yes.
[A wishing well is drawn in pencil, cracked and degraded. There is no water in it, only coins.]
[Red pen:] i believe it wasn't, but then again, i was the insane one.
[Brown pen:] You the insane one? Clearly you never saw "him" the way I did. Talk about insane. Doing the same thing, like clockwork. I can't imagine a world like that. There would be no fun. Days like this one are what makes life worth living.
These surprises, answers, new questions, all gathered in one place make for quite a discovery. I'm happy I found this journal. Its given me a lot of laughs, and I'm bound to have more.
He got what was coming.
[Written in pencil, lining a smiley face in which devil horns have been added by brown pen:] Why not be Happy? i'm Happy.
[Red pen:] And i still am.
