"Exactly where are we going again?" I ask as I follow Noah down another street.
"What's wrong, sweetheart? Don't tell me you're tired already!" He says while turning around to face me."Then again if you are tired," He says, smirking. "I could always just carry you."
"In your dreams." I reply and continue walking.
"Fine. Your loss, though." he says.
"I'm sure it is." I reply sarcastically.
Noah leads me down a few more streets until he stops in front of a bar. Its an old run-down building with a sign that says "Anderson's Bar" in flashing lights. At the entrance there's a man that looks to be in his early twenties. He has dark hair and his skin was a bit darker than Noah's. As we approach, he turns to look at us and I notice his green eyes.
"You took me to..... a bar? You do realize that this is illegal, right?" I said.
"Says the one who got chased around by three government officials. Anyways, we're not here for the alcohol." and, with that, Noah walks up to the door and attempts to enter when suddenly an arm yanks his shirt back.
"HEY!"
"Sorry, mister, I'm going to need to check your ID."says the dark haired man who still has a firm grip on Noah's shirt.
"KEITH! COME ON!" Noah whines.
"Rules are rules." The man, Keith, says shrugging, and trying to suppress a grin.
"Fine." Noah says as he pulls out an ID.
"Are you sure this is real?" Keith asks.
"Keith we don't have time for this! Just let me in!"
I have to stifle my laughter while watching them, but I guess I wasn't quiet enough because Keith suddenly turns to me.
He looks me up and down, shocked, before turning to Noah. "You found her? Already?"
"Yup," Noah says proudly. "Now let us in!"
Keith obediently lets go of Noah's shirt and steps out of the way as Noah grabs my arm and drags me inside. The inside of the bar is like the oustide, old and run-down but there's still a lot of people here. We weave in between people as Noah leads me through the crowd and soon we end up at the "Employees Only" door. He opens the door and walks inside, taking me with him.
"But we aren't employees!" I protest as we go down a long staircase."We can't just randomly walk in here!"
"Don't you trust me, darling?" he replies.
"Not at all." I respond as my foot lands on a squeaky step.
"You'll fall for me some day, and besides, if you don't trust me, then why are you here?" he says.
I open my mouth to reply when suddenly he stops in front of a wooden door. He smiles at me before knocking on it and a quiet "Come in" comes from inside. Behind the door is a man in his early 30s, he has brown hair and eyes and a fair skin tone.
"Hey Timmy! I'm back!" Noah said to the man.
"Its Timothy and I noticed." Says the man. "So let me guess. You were hitting on some girl when the officials saw you and tried to arrest you. Or you were flirting with an official who didn't want anything to do with you. Or you somehow managed to piss off an official so much they tried to beat you up so you ran away."
"Do you really have so little faith in me?" asked Noah who was pretending to look offended. "And besides, even if any of those things did happen I could take care of it myself."
"Sure you could." Timothy replies before looking over to me.
"Now what do we have here? Noah please don't tell me you decided to take a girl home with you." Timothy said.
"I wish that were the case but this one seems immune to my charm." Noah says as he turns towards me and smirks.
"What charm?" I reply. At this, Timothy bursts out laughing and before I know it I'm laughing too while Noah pretends to pout in a corner.
"Ok back to serious buisness." Timothy says after a few more moments of laughter. He turns to Noah. "So, why exactly did you bring her?"
"Because she's her." Noah said.
"John's-" Timothy asks and his voice trails off when he sees Noah nodding. "Wow, you actually found her? Please tell me you didn't intoduce yourself by trying to hit on her."
"Wait- you know about John?! What do you mean, finding me?! I want answers!" I demanded.
"Well, Anna... have you ever heard of the Alliance?" Timothy asked me.
"The group of rebels that's trying to stop the government?" I asked.
"Correct. Now, do you have any idea where those rebels may be?" asks Timothy.
"No..." I say until I realize whats going on and look in between Timothy and Noah, shocked. "You..."
"Well then, as the commander of the Alliance, I welcome you to our base." Timothy says with a grin.
