"- the smell of hot strawberry fields in the afternoon, even the weird noises of monsters in the woods-" I sighed as I closed The Lightning Thief and laid it on my lap.

I had read the same part at least five times but I still didn't get any of it. I've been too distracted with thoughts of Noah and how he was being an ABSOLUTE JERK! As you've probably guessed, we ended up sitting next to each other on the plane. YAY! At first I actually felt really guilty about what I had said to him, but after an hour and a half of trying to apologize I just gave up. If he's going to play that game then fine, so be it. That just means less annoyance and headaches for me. But then, half an hour later, the guilt grew to be practically suffocating and he still wouldn't even look in my direction. So then I tried to distract myself by reading my favorite book, but even that didn't work, and his moodiness was starting to really piss me off. I debated on whether or not I should try to talk to him again. Despite my better judgement, I found myself tapping on his shoulder.

"Noah," I said.

"Nooooaaah." Still no response. Time to take drastic measures.

I slowly leaned over and blew in his ear.

"AH!" He said, turning to glare at me. Now we're getting somewhere.

"And what, may I ask, was that for?" He grumbled.

"Well, you were ignoring me and I had to get your attention somehow." I shrugged. With that, he huffed and turned again.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I said earlier and I really didn't mean it so would you please stop ignoring me?" I said. "Please?" He didn't reply so then I turned around and attempted to lose myself in the world of Percy Jackson once again.

"Beg for it."

"Excuse me?" I said as I turned to look at him.

"Beg for my forgiveness." He stated and even though he still wasn't looking at me I could almost hear his smirk.

"How about no?" I replied.

"Aww come on. I know you miss me." He said, turning around to face me.

"In your dreams, Ross." I shot back and looked down at my book again.

"Oh, trust me, you do much more in my dreams." he said winking.

"Would you mind doing me a favor?" I asked.

"Anything for you, my dearest."

"Oh, so I've been forgiven?" I say.

"Well, how could I possibly stay mad at you, darling?" he replied smoothly.

"In that case, could you maybe go and jump out of this plane?" I asked innocently.

"No can do sweetheart. You would miss me so much that you would end up jumping with me and we would end up like Romeo and Juliette." He said, pretending to sigh.

"Please," I replied. "the only thing we have in common with Romeo and Juliette is that you, like Romeo, are a serious playboy that flirts with every girl he lays eyes on."

"You wound me my sweet. I can practically feel the pain." He said pretending to clutch at his chest.

"Well that won't do. You need to really feel the pain." I said still attempting to read my book.

Suddenly my book is snatched away from me.

"Hey!" I shout, trying to grab at my book as he uses one hand to hold it and one to push me away.

"Why are you reading about fictional guys when you have a perfectly good one right here?" he says pouting.

"Well for one thing fictional characters can't speak which already makes them ten times better than you." I say as I lunge at my book again until Noah's hand grabs my wrist and uses my momentum to pull me towards him. We're so close that our noses are nearly touching.

"You sure about that, sweetheart?" he says in a low voice. I can feel his breathe on my cheek as they heat up at our closeness.

"Of course!" I sputter as I shove him away.

"Suit yourself," he says shrugging and hands me my book. "But you don't know what you're missing out on. Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to take a nap." he says before resting his head on the seat and closing his eyes.

I watch him for a bit until I decide to take a nap too.

"It wouldn't hurt to just get a few more hours of rest." With that last thought, I find myself drifting off to sleep.
