"I'M BOOORED!!!!!!!" Noah said for probably the fifth time in the last minute.
"OH MY GOD!!!! COULD YOU JUST SHUT UP FOR ONE GOD FORSAKEN MINTUE?! OR IS THAT TOO HARD?!" I screamed back as I tried to focus on the computer screen.
"I could...... BUT I'M BORED!!!!!" was his response.
We had left the ruins of the bar an hour ago and had decided to hide out at my old home for now. Besides, I needed my computer. It was quite a simple plan really, hack ino the bank, get some money, buy a ticket for the next flight to Florida and work things out from there. At least it should have been simple. There was only one factor I didn't plan on.
"Are you done YET?!"
I didn't plan on this idiot being so obnoxious.
"I WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE SOONER IF SOMEONE WOULDN'T KEEP INTERRUPTING ME!"
"Aww come on! You know you love me! I mean how could anyone not love this?" He said gesturing to himself and smirking from where he stood behind me.
I chose not to argue with him. I knew what he was doing since I've done plenty of times before. He was distracting himself, though if he was distracting himself from worrying about his friends or worrying about what lay ahead, I wasn't sure.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, then opened them and focused on the screen in front of me. My fingers flew across the keyboard as I typed code after code, character after character, until I finally found what I was looking for. I clicked the "transact" button and watched as the money flowed into a fake account I had made in advance in case I ever needed money.
"Are you done yet?! You're done now right? That took FOREVER!!!" He whined.
"Whats the matter?" I asked. "A little attention deprived are we?"
"Of course," He responded. "I don't want you to look at anything else but me."
I groaned. I can't believe I agreed to help this idiot.
Anyways back to the task at hand. I quickly opened up a new tab and found the next flight to Florida and booked us two first class seats. If I have to travel with this idiot, I might as well travel in style.
"OK, the tickets are all booked. We'll stay here for the night and get on the plane to Florida tomorow morning. Any questions?" I asked.
"Yes." He said in a serious tone. "Where do you keep the food here?"
I contemplated whether or not I should walk over there and slap him, but that would have to mean getting up and I decided against it. I merely pointed in the direction of the kitchen and said, "It's in the second cupboard from the right." and watched as he left.
Finally, for the first time since we got here, the room was silent. Until I heard a loud CRASH come from the kitchen and went to go see what was going on, though I had a pretty good guess. I walked slowly to the kitchen, where I found a happily eating Noah who scooped another mouthful of cereal from his bowl, surrounded by spilled cereal and the box lying on the floor. I could feel myself getting even angrier.
"What the heck?!"
"Sorry sweetheart, I made a bit of a mess." He said, no remorse in his idiotic, flirtatious face.
"HOW THE HECK DID YOU DO THIS?!" I shouted at him.
"Well you see darling, I put the cereal box right here," he said pointing to a spot on the table he's sitting at. "and then I went to go look for a bowl, and then on my way back to the table I tripped and knocked over the box of cereal. Aww, darlin', you're concerned. Don't worry! I still managed to save a few bits of cereal so you don't have to worry about me dying from starvation!" he said smiling.
"So my kitchen is a mess because you were daydreaming about who-knows-what and being an idiot instead of watching where you were going?" I said.
" Yup," he said popping the "p". "except I think it's pretty obvious what I was daydreaming about." He said with a smirk, while eyeing me up and down.
I scowled back at him and said "You're going to clean this up." Then I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed everything I needed to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I was just finishing with the jam when I heard, "So, where are we sleeping?"
"You are sleeping on the guestroom down here while I'm going to be in my room upstairs."
"Are you sure I can't join you? I might get lonely down here." he said pouting.
"That's unfortunate." I replied and bit into my sandwich. "You should have thought about that before you decided to be an idiot."
"So what you're saying is," he said smirking."is that if I hadn't bothered you today you would have slept with me?"
I walked right into that one. "If that thought helps you sleep at night." I retorted while finishing up my sandwich.
"The guest bedroom is down that hallway and I'll be upstairs so don't bother me. The bathroom is the door next to the guest bedroom so you might want to shower while you're here." I informed him.
"Will you be showering too?" he asked suggestively.
"My bathroom is upstairs and the stairs creak so I'll be able to hear you if you try to come up, so don't even think about it."
"But what if I need something?" he whined.
"Then you'll just have to deal with it. Goodnight. Sleep tight. We have a big day tomorrow." I said before turning on my heel and climbing up the stairs.
I could hear Noah start to clean up the cereal and milk mess, thank God. I went ahead and took a shower, then got dressed into pajamas and brushed my teeth. I got settled into my bed and fell asleep pretty quickly, since I was exhausted from a long day. Everything about the world, every memory I had, even my own name all slipped away from my conscience as I entered the world of dreams.
