park sooyoung (joy) and kim yerim (yeri)

extra: bae juhyun (irene) and son seungwan (wendy) and kang seulgi (seulgi)

the next day, yerim's friends asked her to hang out at the mall with them. yerim never really did anything with sooyoung, so she agreed to go to the mall with her friends. 

seulgi linked arms with her, just as sooyoung would do. "so how did you get an 'a' on that test? i thought you didn't have time to study." 

yerim sighed. "i didn't. i had the piano lessons the day before and i never got to study for math," she confessed. the girls had been friends since they were in elementary school, so they trusted each other a lot. 

"then how'd you get a hundred? i studied for hours and i still got an 87," juhyun said. "you couldn't have possibly crammed for that test before school."

"i cheated," yerim confessed. 

the girls nodded. they knew that you had to do what you had to do to get that 100%, even if it meant cheating. they had all done it plenty of times before, so it was no big deal. 

"it really did seem suspicious," seungwan admitted. "i crammed before school and i only managed to get an 87 because i copied off of juhyun." 

yerim suddenly got an idea. "do you guys remember park sooyoung?" she asked them. sooyoung was home-schooled, so she didn't go to school. sometimes sooyoung went to the school to help her with things, but she would leave as soon as she was done helping her. 

the girls nodded. "yeah, she was in our friend group before you came," juhyun informed her. "she was a real bitch." 

the other two girls (minus yerim) agreed with juhyun. "sooyoung would always do crazy things that didn't make sense," seungwan said to them exasperatedly. 

this intrigued yerim. "like what would she do?"

"oh, you know. she would climb to the roof of her house. one day, she jumped off the roof of her house and broke her leg. she's crazy. absolutely insane," seulgi gossiped to them. "you didn't hear this from me, but she told me she murdered her stuffed animals for fun." 

juhyun turned to her. "seriously? that's insane." 

seulgi nodded. "she would get scissors and throw them at the stuffed animals' heads. it's scary, how she was."

"didn't she almost murder her little brother like that?" seungwan asked for clarification. 

yerim stayed silent. she had no idea sooyoung had done those things. why didn't sooyoung tell her before? was it because sooyoung thought she wouldn't like her anymore? 

after thinking about it for a second, yerim realized. 

she didn't want to be friends with sooyoung anymore. 

sooyoung was a cancer that needed to be removed.
