Bridgette
The marketplace was busy today. With people from all over the country, families with children buying food for dinner while the children beg their mothers for treats, tradesmen ripping each other off, and tourists pointing at what must've been the most interesting thing to them: me – my gold eyes and hair were very rare in the northern areas of the world. A giant gust of wind blew across the markets, throwing people off balance – some were even knocked off their feet. I felt Melanie lean on me for balance and Jake gripped my arm.
The wind vanished as quickly as it had come. I smiled as I saw a girl standing in about a meter away from us. Her long, almost white hair went down to her upper-thigh. She wore a white blouse and black, leather jeans and grey, knee-high boots. She had pale skin and piercing blue eyes.
"Aria." I said.
"Ugh," she said in disgust, "Bridgette. I would be lying if I said I was glad to see you." She said, as usual, that was the only greeting I would get. We stood for around a minute before embracing each other.
Aria let out a sigh as she looked me up and down, "God, it's been ages."
"I know!" I said, relieved to have my best friend back again.
She let go of me, suddenly serious. "Bridgette. I know you're not here for a girls night. What is it?"
I let out a sigh, "I need your help. Do you know of a Camelia Rose?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"What did she do?"
Aria averted her eyes, "We need to get somewhere private. Now."
Alex
I was walking towards the housing area when I saw her. Camelia. She was standing down an alleyway, looking at me. I ran down the alleyway. That's all. Suddenly, the alleyway vanished and I was standing in a field.
"What the..." I mumbled under my breath.
"Don't be alarmed."
I whipped around to see Camelia standing at the base of the tree me and Titania had climbed the day we left. She was wearing a dark-purple and black dress – she looked like a gothic doll from a toy store, with her frilly dress.
She spoke in a calm voice, "Don't trust Brendan Alex. He is hiding the story from you."
"What do you want?"
"I want to warn you Alex. Things are getting bad, and you and your sister are the centre of it."
Confusion and curiosity filled my mind, "My sister died the day I was born."
"That's what you think happened. But you know, don't you Alex? You know there's more than just 'she died.'"
"I don't understand."
"You don't have to right now. I have said enough at the moment. If you want to know more, meet me tonight at midnight. If not, you don't have to. It's up to you."
Then she was gone. The meadow started spinning and then, slowly melted away...
...
"Alex. Alex wake up." I opened my eyes to see Titania and Dane standing over me.
