We always had a message board in school, but people barely use it. Well they do, but they don't put messages. They just open the flaps to check if they had messages. Like, What the hell? How dumb can you be? You don't even write to someone then you expect to find letters in yours?
Okay, I'm overreacting. Sorry. Got carried away.
One day, me and my friends decided to prank someone by giving them a love note. In turn we each pointed to the names on the board while blindfolded. We each get turns to get blindfolded so the others can see who I picked and vice versa.
We all stood in a a line, waiting for our turn. And now it was my turn. My friend blindfolded me and tapped my shoulder as if to say "you can start now." So naturally I pointed blindly to a name. Suddenly, they all started to shriek with joyous giggles. I jumped, startled because of the noise. "What?!" I shrieked also, scared of the outcome of the person I pointed. I untangled the blindfold and looked at the name I pointed at.
Mehgehd! It was him! It was really him! I have to give that love letter to him.
I started hyperventilating. I don't know why, but I think it's because I have a huge crush on him. And partly because I would really mean the words on the note. I walked over to the envelope where his name was printed on in gold letters and fancy writing. The envelope itself was magnificent. And as I look at the letter in my hand. I was disappointed to see only scribbles of my penmanship. I felt ashamed, because of the fancy envelope.
My friends all hooted when I opened the flap of the envelope to put in the letter. They were jumping up and down like kids on sugar. Abruptly they stopped hooting like someone was here that I didn't notice. I turned my head to them in question, but I just shrugged it off. I turned back to the envelope. And just when I was about to slide in the letter, Someone coughed. I looked to the right where I heard the sound coming from. I was caught red-handed.
It was him. Ohmygord! It was him! I tried to slip my hand out of the envelope unnoticed. Unfortunately, he caught me because he raised his eyebrows in question. I just smiled sheepishly and backed away from the board. He just chuckled and walked over to my envelope with a letter in hand. Just when I least expected it he slipped the letter in and turned to me. He winked and turned to walk away. I just blushed in return.
Clearly, I didn't put my letter in because of my embarrassing moment with him, but my friends insisted that I do put it in. So I did. Then I scurried out of the building with my friends hot on my heels. Calling my name. Saying they are proud of what I did. Wolf whistles were heard from the boys. I shook my head in amusement.
Little did I know that he didn't go anywhere from the message board. He just turned the corner and hid there. To see if I put in the letter he caught me with.
In the end I didn't get the letter he gave. Not until a few days later when I worked up the courage to get it. And after I read that little note he gave me. I was overwhelming with joy.

P.S that's what the envelope looks like, the one above is how it looks like. Just without a flap that is. 😍😘
