Chapter 4: Running with the Wolves

Previously on Chapter 3...

"Mother...Father... I would like to learn how to fight?" Marinette said closing her eyes afraid to see her parent's reactions.

Her mother and father laughed.Marinette opened her eyes.

"Honey your a princess!" King Tom said.

"Yes I agree! Princesses don't fight!" Her mother said still laughing at the idea.

"I want to learn." Marinette said without closing her eyes.

" You won't learn and that's final!" King Tom said stomping his foot.

Marinette gulped

Marinette ever so badly wanted her parents to accept the fact, that she wants to fight.

That night, Marinette locked herself in her room and cried on her bed. She let all her emotion flow.

She was so mad. Marinette started to pack her bags. She was going to leave until her parents could accept what she wanted. Fighting was a part of Marinette and it will always be a part of her.

She packed her swords and bows and hopped out the window.

All Marinette could think of, was the journey ahead.

Chat Noir knew that the princess would be in the forest,just like every other day she trained. The only thing is that this time would be different. Chat Noir was going to talk to her.

When Char Noir arrived at the princess's usual spot, he saw her upset. This was his chance.

"Isn't it a little to be wandering in the woods.Miss." Chat Noir said as he comes out of the bushes.

"I was just leaving.'' Marinette said before meeting the eyes of this person. She was intrigued.

'' It's dangerous out here. I best be going'' Chat Noir said but standing still. He could get lost in her eyes forever.

'' I thought you said were leaving?!' Marinette said

' I thought I was.''

'I thought I was to---" Before Marinette could finish her sentence, horses were heard from a distance. Chat pulled Marinette with him into a tree, based off instinct.

Shouts were heard.

"The princess is missing. All her things are gone so she ran away. She couldn't have gone far! Find her and bring her to the king!" The guard said before starting to ride away.

"I'm not going home!" Marinette said releasing herself from Chat's arms, and then standing in the middle of the road.

The guards suddenly came to a sudden halt and turned around. They found the princess.

The guards hopped off their horses and began walking towards the princess. Marinette grabbed her sword pointing it towards them.

She ran towards the first guards, knocking him out like a piece of cake.

So these are the men my father is paying! Marinette thought.

She fought against all the guards and dusted off her hands.

"Tell my father that I won't be returning until he lets me train at home. Show him your bruises and cud from me, while your at it." Marinette said while the guards nodded rapidly and scurried towards the kingdom.

"Wow that was impressive. Taking down your father's own guards!" Char Noir said.

"Takes practice." Marinette said before staring at Char Noir.

"Do you live around here?" She asked.

"Sorta"

"Mind if I stay with you for a while?!" Marinette asked.

"No not at all!" Chat Noir said blushing then showing Marinette the way!

And so their adventure began. Marinette learned more about the Legend of the Nine Lives.

She would always say

"I'm running with the wolves!"
