Maya's POV

I had managed to get through the rest of my classes, even with my AP class thrown in there. I am dreading that class even more after getting the syllabus, but the teacher said not to worry, so I'm worrying even more. Makes sense, right? I actually already have homework in that class. Since it is Human Geography, Mr. Muller wants us to figure out what exactly that is and what we will be learning about. It should only take like ten minutes, but that is still hell for the first day of school.

On the other hand, art class is going to be a blast. Zoe is in my class and we decided to sit next to each other. She said she didn't take art last year because she didn't know she was good until two summers ago, but since we choice classes the year before she couldn't sign up for art her freshman year. She was a sophomore, but she was super nice and cool. I didn't know classes mingled. I knew I would have classes with upper classmen and sophomores, but I didn't think I would make friends with them.

Gym was very interesting. Lucas is in my class, but so is Haley. I got to tell Haley what happened with Tony and how I felt and everything she wanted to know. Lucas didn't approach me or Haley at all. He actually barely looked at me, but I caught him stealing a few glances, which I could live without.

Now it is the end of the day and my stomach is doing flips. My mind keeps going to the bad scenarios first, like what if this is a prank and all his friends are going to throw stuff at me as soon as I get there, or what if they all just gang up on me, or what if he just doesn't show up and I sit there waiting throwing myself a pity party with no ride home. There are a few good scenarios though, like he is there waiting and he takes me on a date, and then drives me home. I am assuming he has a car because we won't make the bus at this rate and I doubt he is having his parents pick us up, because then his mom or dad would talk our ears off about him and he sure makes it seem like he wants to stay a mystery. I had to stop by one of the millions of maps of our school posted all around to find where door seven was. It was on the side of the school in one of the circle stairways. The stairs themselves weren't a circle, but the school had a big circle in the very front that had about twenty classrooms in it, and there were three stairways in it leading to the second floor. Door seven was right by the main entrance door, which was door eight.

As soon as I could see the door into the stairway, I saw Tony standing off to the side of it looking down at his phone. He had a really nice jawline and really deep eyes with a small nose. He was definitely attractive. He looked up and saw me walking his way and smiled. Okay, this is good; there are no guys waiting to throw stuff at me, and he is actually here.

"Hey Cutie, you ready to go?" His voice is literally going to kill me.

"Yeah, I think so. I want to know two things first." He smiled again nodded his head gesturing that he was ready to answer. "One: how old are you? And two: where are we going?"

"I can only answer one of those questions. I am sixteen and I am a Junior this year. Now let's go." I started walking without even thinking about where we were going. When I stepped outside, the heat hit my face and I slowed down a little. It was probably like ninety degrees Fahrenheit out here. Tony noticed and stopped to wait for me. He reached his arm out for me, but I just walked by him. I didn't want to hold his hand, not yet anyway. I still have no idea who this guy is. I can't believe I'm actually getting in his car having no idea where I'm going. We were walking side by side until he turned slightly, most likely in the direction of his car. He stopped at a rusty Oldsmobile car from like 1994 and pointed to the passenger seat side. I was by the rear of the car when he started laughing. I looked over to him with a questioning look.
