Kaylee's POV

I never let her leave my sight. How far could she have gone?

"Gracie?!" I called. I was honestly freakin out. How could I lose my own child?

I grabbed my purse and began running around the park, calling Gracie's name.

I ran through the playground, thinking maybe she went to play with the other kids. She always loved other people.

She wasn't there.

Then I checked behind every tree in the park. And let me tell you there are a lot of trees.

I let a tear slip down my cheek. If I lost her, I would never forgive myself.

I began walking back towards the benches when I heard someone playing the guitar and softly singing.

Whoever it was sounded good.

I followed the sound. It led me to a boy, who looked about my age or older. He had his head down playing. He had blonde hair.

He was really talented.

I began walking away. After I was about 10 feet away, he stopped playing.

I turned around and saw him bending over and pick something up. That something had a pink tu-tu on.

Gracie

I quickly began to walk over towards him.

"Hi there. What are you doing all alone?" he asked in a baby voice.

"Where's your mommy?" he asked.

"Ba-d-Ba-goo." She said as she pointed towards me.

By now I was very close to Gracie. The boy looked over at me.

"Hi. Oh gosh I'm so sorry she disrupted you. She had crawled away from me and I thought I lost her and thank you for finding her and..." I trailed off.

"Hey it's fine. I'm glad I found her for you though... Um.." he trailed off.

"Kaylee." I answered, saving him from embarrassment.

"Yeah I'm glad I found her for you Kaylee. I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new in town?" he asked as he handed me Gracie.

"Yeah. I just got here yesterday."

"Oh cool. So how are you liking the town?"

"I love it. I mean I haven't seem much of it yet but I love what I've seen."

"That's good. It's a really nice place to live. Lots if friendly people for such a big city." He said.

"Yeah. Well thanks again... Um..." I trailed off.

"Hunter."

"Thanks Hunter."

"No problem. Hey Kaylee?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"Well you seem like a nice friend and I was wondering if you'd like to hang out some time?" he asked shyly.

"Of course! When is good for you?" I asked.

"How's later today?"

"Later is good as long as it's ok that Gracie is there." I answered.

"Ok well then later it is. Could I have your number so I could text you the details." He asked.

Ah sneaky boy.

"Sure." I grabbed a pen from my purse and wrote it on his arm.

What? I didn't have paper.

He laughed.
