Imani is a 7 year old girl that I met at the clinic. She came in with broken ribs and half a leg.
Not only did she respond positively to the surgery but she was a sliver of hope for everyone at the clinic.
Her mother had died during childbirth and she has 4 siblings.
I don't know why I'm telling you this.
Probably, because for once I'm the angry one.
You were so quick to assume that she was someone that I had become romantically involved with.
You were so quick to make me appear to be a guy who strings people along.
But you knew. I told you my plans yet you were accepting to the conditions and said you would be able to handle the heartbreak if it came to it.
Don't you realize that we both emotionally invested in what we had?
If I had known that this was going to happen, I would never have gotten to know you.
