Chapter 8

We've been driving for hours, Rory fell asleep a while back. My phone has been ringing non stop from Jared and Michael. Before me and Rory left town I had ran into my apartment and grabbed what little clothes I had, all of my money, and well a lot of weed. So needless to say my room looked pretty empty. I'll just call Michael back later. Jared as always wouldn't know what the fuck I'm talking about.

"Eargenvhdsy mmh" Rory mumbles, starting to wake up.

"Hey baby good morning."

"Sebastian. Where are we?"

"We are just driving into Oregon, I'm thinking we can settle down in Washington for a few days and kinda figure out what we want to do once we get to Seattle. But it'll all be okay. I'm always going to be here to protect you now."

Rory soon rests her hand on mine, while she looks out the window. I turn the radio on and some panic at the disco song blares through the speaker. Immediately I go to change the station when Rory stops me.

"Wait no I love this band. They're like my favorite don't change it."

Giving an internal sigh I pull my hand off the radio.

"The fear of falling apart o ohho oh oh oh ohho This is the beat of my heart this is the best of my heart"

Soon I hear a small sound in the background as well. Rory's singing. I decide not to make a big deal so I can just listen.

"Don't try to sleep through the end of the world and Burry me alive cus I won't give up without a fight."

Aw. Her voice is so pretty. I love it.

"If you love me let me go oh oh"

Shes so freaking cute. Oh my god. Soon after endless amounts of songs we start to learn a little more about each other. Like how her favorite color is black and her favorite smell is rain. Her favorite season is winter and her favorite drink is root beer. All the cute things about her I'll get to remember for later. All these little things that make her, well her.

Soon Rory reaches into her bag and grabs a book and starts to read.

"Watcha readin?"

"A book."

"What book?"

"The one in my hands."

"Rory."

"It's the city of bones Sebastian." She laughs. A few seconds pass and I ask.

"Can you read to me?"

"Really? You want me to?"

"Yes please."

"Haha okay."

Rory starts reading to me and surprisingly the book is really interesting and good. I might have to get her to read me some more of it later. Before we knew it we pulled into a rather shitty super 8 in Seattle.

We got up to our room and it was a basic tan motel room. One bed a tv and a small table. Rory immediately sat on the bed and laid down. I soon joined her, just relaxing in the comfortable silence.

"Sebastian?"

"Yes baby?"

There was a tense silence from Rory, she's thinking hard about something.

"Can I tell you in the morning?"

"Yes baby, you can take as long as you need."

Rory scoots closer to me and lays her head in my lap.

"Sebastian."

"Yes-"

She slams her lips onto mine, making my body erupt in firework.

I grab her by the waist and pull her on top of me. Before things got too heated I pulled away.

"What's wrong?" She asks with worried eyes.

"I'm I'm. I'm not ready..."

"Oh god Sebastian it's okay. Let's just go to sleep okay." She gives me a smile before sliding under the sheets. I slip under too and hold her tight in my arms.

"I love you."

"I love you too Sebastian."

soon we fall into a peaceful sleep.
