Chapter 10

Sammys POV

I sat beside Lenny on the plane. Em and John sat in front of me. I had the urge to talk to Emily so bad. John was in the bathroom and Lenny was asleep so I had to be quiet. What do I say? I thought to myself. I saw one of the girl workers carrying drinks and asking passengers if they would like something. PERFECT! I leaned forward and tapped Em's shoulder lightly. She pulled her earbuds out of her ears and turned so she could see me. "Would you like anything to drink? My treat." I said with a smile. She looked at me. "Uhm. No. I'm fine." She said then turned around. Placing her earbuds back in her ear. I sighed. I did screw up. Badly. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes and started to remember a flashback. "Ok, Sammy. I made this. It is only for us. Want me to read it?" Emily said holding a paper. "Yeah!" I said. I was sitting on Emily's pink polka dotted bed that she got on her 6th birthday. "Ok. 'This is the BFF Contract. It states that we will be best friends for our lifetime. Nothing could break out bond. Even boys. If one or both of us get a boyfriend. We never chose them over each other. Signing this paper is a promise. A promise we are having to keep for the rest of our lives.' Here." Emily said handing me a crayon. I took it and scribbled my name on the line. Then she did. "Now you have to keep this promise forever" Em said smiling. We both giggled and hugged. She folded the paper up then placed it in my diary. When she was done we were playing with my Prom themed Barbie Dolls. (we were 7 then) I quickly opened my watery eyes. "I broke that promise" I mummbled to myself. I was s greatful no one heard me. I wiped my eyes then looked at Em who was listening to music now with John, Both smiling and giggling. I pouted and sobbed a little. I am such a horrible friend! Even if it was when we were 7 it still mattered. Lenny lazily got up and noticed my watery eyes. He quickly held me and craddled me asking what was wrong. I didn't say anything. I just leaned into him and sobbed.

Johns POV

Emily and I were listening to music from her phone. I gotta admit. She has good taste in music. I was looking out the window and humming the song. I felt Emily playing with my hand. She was filtering her hands with mine and just playing with them. When she had her hand through my and closed them. Locking hers in. She looked at me and smiled, I smiled back. She then changed the song with her free hand, When it came on I reconized it. Come Closer by of course Justice Crew, She gave me that flirty smile. So I came closer to her and cuddled her. Singing with her to the song.
