Gone

Chapter 10

One night, Beca woke up and Chloe wasn't there. Since what had happened, she had struggled to trust everybody but Chloe. Now she wasn't so sure. She sat up and looked around. There was no note, no clue as to where Chloe had disappeared to. Beca began to cry. She didn't know why, but she couldn't control it.
Chloe walked into the room and saw Beca sitting up, crying.
"Oh my God! Beca what's wrong?" Chloe said and ran towards Beca.
"Why did you leave me?" Beca asked.
"Aww, Becs. I had to pee, I didn't think you'd wake up." Chloe replied.
Chloe pulled Beca in for a hug.
"You left me." Beca said pushing Chloe away.
"I had to use the bathroom!" Chloe said.
"But you left."
"I wasn't going to pee in bed."
Beca looked up at Chloe with a scared expression on her face.
"I will never leave you again." Chloe said.
Beca still didn't say anything.
"Can I still sleep here or do you want me to go home?" Chloe asked.
"No! Stay!" Beca whined.
"Beca what is wrong with you?" Chloe asked.
"Nothing." Beca said and moved over so Chloe could get in the bed.
"No Beca, tell me the truth." Chloe said.
Beca looked down.
"I'm scared." She said softly.
"You don't have to be scared." Chloe said. "I'll protect you."
"You can't protect me if your not here." Beca shot back.
"I was gone for two minutes!"
"But you didn't tell me!"
"I didn't want to wake you up. You need rest." Chloe said. Beca realized Chloe was right, she did need rest and she probably would have gotten mad if Chloe woke her up.
"I'm sorry I freaked out." Beca said.
"I'm sorry I left." Chloe replied.
Chloe gave Beca a kiss on her forehead and they went back to sleep.
That was when Chloe realized Beca would never be the same. Chloe knew she had to make sure Beca was okay, and she was fine with that. She didn't know it yet, but she loved Beca.
