Chapter 15

Beca began to walk towards the swing. Chloe walked by her side.
"Beca?" Josh said as Beca and Chloe began to walk towards them.
"Yep. It's me." Beca said.
"Who's Beca?" Megan asked.
"I'm Beca." Beca said.
Megan got off the swing and walked over to Beca. Beca knelt in front of Megan.
"I'm your sister. I don't know if Mom told you, but there's more to the family then those awful brothers." Beca said.
"Hey!" Josh said.
Beca, Chloe and Megan laughed.
"Who's that?" Megan asked and pointed to Chloe.
"That's my girlfriend Chloe. Chloe, say hi." Beca said.
"Hi Megan." Chloe said and waved.
"You have a girlfriend?" Megan asked. She might only be six, but having five older brothers living with her, she knew some things most six year olds didn't. "You're gay?"
Chloe giggled at the sound of the confused six year old.
"Chloe, it's not funny. You are too." Beca said. She had a point.
Beca began to stand up and Megan saw how short she was.
"Hey! You're short just like me!" Megan said.
"Yeah, and you know what else?" Beca asked.
"What?"
"I dressed just like you when I was six." Beca said.
"All the other girls say that I'm weird and I don't have much friends." Megan said and looked down.
"She's a mini you!" Chloe said to Beca.
"Dinner!" Lisa called.
"What's for dinner?" Beca asked Megan.
"Tacos!" Megan said.
"Yes! My favorite!" Beca said.
"Me too." Megan said. Beca was the best person she'd ever met.
At dinner everyone had began to eat except Chloe. Beca knew Chloe had a history of not eating, so she began to worry. Her worrying stopped when Chloe asked, "How do I eat this without it falling apart?"
"Easy, like this." Beca said and took a big bite of Chloe's taco causing it to fall apart.
"Hey!" Chloe said.
"Here you can have to rest of mine." Beca said sliding her plate over to Chloe.
"Mommy?" Megan asked.
"Yeah sweetie?" Lisa said.
"Why have I never met Beca before?" Megan asked.
"That's a question for Beca." Lisa said and glared at Beca.
"For the hundredth time, I'm sorry Mom!" Beca said.
"Where were you?" Megan asked.
"I moved in with Dad. I was upset and I needed to get away from everyone." Beca said.
"I forgive you." Megan said and gave Beca a kiss on the cheek.
"Aww." Chloe said.
"Shut it, Beale." Beca said.
"She loves you." Chloe whispered to Beca.
"What's not to love?" Beca said sarcastically.
