7~ Is this jealousy? ~

My mother came back with two cups of tea, biscuits and two pieces of cake.
«Here...» she said while placing all the yummy things she got for us. « Gilbert, I hope you like tea... »
«Yes, I like it, thank you a lot! » and he grinned again. Damn, that grin. Damn. that voice. All of them made me feel good. I got lost for a couple seconds, then returned to reality when my mother talked again.
« Then, I'll leave you alone, I have...some stuff to do! » she giggled and ran up the stairs.
She had nothing to do. She just wanted me to be alone with him, that was too obvious. Then I remembered a thing. How did he get there, to my home, since I never told him where I live?
« G-Gilbert... » I spoke up.
«Hmm?» He already started to eat a biscuite as I was ready to ask him about my confusion.
«Can you tell me exactely how did you get here?»
His red eyes widened at my question, stopping to eat the delicious biscuits.
«U-umm...»
«D-did you stalk me?!»
«No,noooo, I just was curious and asked the school about your address.» He smiled less brightly, as he was embarrassed, slowly massaging his head.
«Y-you're weird..»
As I said that, his smile disappeared and he looked down.
«Y-yeah..people usually say so about me..»
«D-did I say something wrong?» He looked so troubled about what I said earlier.
«No, no, don't worry..»
«G-Gilbert, I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean that you're weird..in that sense.. I like you..you're funny, and kind..»
«... KESESESESE I'M AWESOME!!!» said, then stood up.
«W-WHA-»
He laughed at me when I got surprised of his sudden actions.
Right then, Alex came downstairs calling me.
«Little sis, it's time to learn, we're starting today....oh. »
« OH,HI! » shouted Gilbert, grinning. He suddenly became so loud for no reason. Why this sudden change?
« Hi.. » quietly said Alex « Umm...m-maybe it's not the right time to learn.. »
« NO,NO PLEASE GO ON I WAS LEAVING RIGHT NOW SO PLEASE GO ON » He grinned.
Was he mad to me?
« I shouldn't have said it.. » I thought. I was sad. And confused.
Gilbert stood up,still grinning, and approached Alex, then held his hand. «Anyway I'm the awesome Gilbert Beilschmidt! I just went to say hi to (y/n), so I'm leaving now!»
«Oh um...I'm Alex...her brother. Thank you for coming..» answered my brother as Gilbert was already walking towards the entrance door.
«U-umm..Gilbert..» I spoke up «Let me guide you to the bus stop..»
«NO,NO THERE'S NO NEED TO! REALLY,THANK YOU!» and he exited my home.
«Gil...bert..» I sighed. I was a total idiot. Why did I say something like that to him? Why did I tell him that he was weird? That was the worst feeling ever.

My brother called me back in, as I was staring at the road, as if I could see Gilbert until he arrived home, hoping for him to turn and come back.
«It's getting late little sis. Shall we do that german lesson?»
«U-uh...I...I'm coming!»
I closed the door and went back into the living room, getting my books and sitting on the couch.
Alex came and sit next to me, with his books.
«Do you like him?» he asked.
«W-what?»
«Do. You. Like. Him?»
«I-It's nothing like that! He...just is the only person who's kind to me..»
«Then he likes you.»
«No.»
«I won't let him touch you.»
«But, Alex, I- »
«Nobody can touch my little sis.»
«Alex, we're just friends. We don't even know each other well!»
«If he only tries to touch you I swear I'll- »
«STOP IT!» I said «Stop being jealous! I can take care of myself! I'm not a child! And he's kind and funny and- »
«Loud. Too loud.»
I remembered his sudden change.
«I...»
«Be careful» he said, putting his hand on my shoulder to reassure me.
«Let's start..»
Alex nodded and opened his books, then I did the same.
We studied all the evening until 8 p.m, when my mother came downstairs.
«(y/n)~ Gilbert~ O-oh.. did he go home already?»
I looked at her with an almost painful expression as I slowly nodded in answer to her question.
«So sad...» she said, looking down «He was such a good boy..»
Alex looked disgusted about what mum just said about Gilbert. He closed his books and stretched.
«Enough for today.»
«Then I'm making dinner, it won't take long.» said my mother, smiling, then she went to the kitchen and started cooking.
«I'm not hungry, thanks. I'll just skip dinner.» I said.
«Little sis, you have to eat properly...»
«I said that I'm not hungry, so I won't eat. U don't feel like eating.» I stood up and went to my room. I got my bag and put my books in, then laid onto my bed and curled up. I spent most of the night thinking about Gilbert, about what I've done and how I could've fix it.
