- (Y/N)'S POV -

"(Y/N)!" shouted Nicole as I was leaving school "Wait!"
I stopped and looked back at her, seeing her running to me with Marie.
"Hello, Nicole, Marie" I said, smiling.
"Y-you're fast!" Marie was outh of breath.
"No, Marie, you're the one who's really slow." said between giggles Nicole.
I smiled at them and asked them what they wanted to tell me.
"Well... It's almost Christmas...so I and Marie thought you could hang out with us as soon as we're free from school?"
"Oh... sure, why not!" I replied.
"Well then...see you tomorrow!"
"Yes, it's just two more days left." I grin.
I go home and say hi to my mum. I was so happy, I got some friends to hang out with!
Actually...Christmas holidays were really close and I thought...Will I be able to see Gilbert during those weeks?

"Let me in!" I screamed, causing all the people in the hospital corridor to turn their heads at me.
The nurse put her hands on my shoulders. "
"Please calm down, mistress, the patient is resting right now ... just be a little patient, I'll tell you when he wakes up. "
"Dear come here.." said my mother, while grabbing my arm and dragging me close to her. "I know you're worried...we all are, but we just have to wait a little."
I sighed. I wasn't just worried, I was worried sick. I sat down between my mother and a mute Alex, who was just staring at the floor.
"I hope dad's okay.." I thought, when the nurse finally came and told us he woke up.
I rushed in and hugged my dad.
"Dad! How are you? Does it hurt?"
"My pretty...I'm just feeling a little tired but...I'm here, and I'm all okay now, so don't worry. I don't feel in pain at all."
"Thank goodness..when are you going to be released?"
"I don't really know...ask the nurse" he smiled a little.
That smile was a lot to me...and thinking I couldn't see it anymore...no,I can't.

After I visited my father and assured everything was fine, me and my family went back home.

I picked up my phone to answer the call from Nicole.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming."
"We're waiting for you in front of the door."
"Sure, coming in a second!"
I hung up and finished putting my shoes. I was wearing just some mom jeans and a sweater, nothing too special. I rushed down the stairs and opened the door while waving off to my mother and get in the car with Nicole and Marie.
"So, today's plan. Hear me out." Said Nicole. "We're having lunch at Meet's, some shopping and then karaoke. Is that clear?"
"Where's... 'Meet's'?" I asked.
"Half and hour 'till we get there, so not so far girl."
I nodded.
I looked out of the mirror and began thinking.
Actually, I haven't seen Gilbert in these last days, nor heard from him. Did something happen?

We had a delicious meal and went shopping afterwards in a mall not too far from the restaurant.
"(Y/N)! This dress would look so good on you, I swear. Try it on." Marie showed me the dress.
"I don't know.. I mean... isn't it too.. revealing?"
Nicole started pushing me towards the changing room while Marie was carrying the dress. The first one then talked.
"I'm sure Gilbert will LOVE this."
I blushed.
"What do you mean..."
"We know he likes you~"
"This story again?"
"JUST TRY IT ON ALREADY"
"Okay, okay."
I went into the changing room and put on the white dress. It's...quite nice now that I look at it...
"So, how's it?" Said Marie
I stepped out of the changing room and looked at the girls, slightly blushing.
"It's.. cute..." I murmured.
"Hell no, it's hot. You're totally buying it." Declared Nicole.
I changed back to my clothes and went to pay for it, while the girls were looking at some stuff for themselves. I checked my phone while waiting for them and saw an unread message from Gilbert.
"Can we hang out in half an hour? I'm going to pick you up."
I bit my lip. I didn't want to ditch the girls but I admitted I missed him.
"Gil... I'm sorry but I'm out with Nicole and Marie... we're going karaoke soon though, you can come too. I'll send you the name of the pub."
I then reached the girls.
"Uhhh... we might have a person adding up to our group later."
"Who's it?" Asked Marie.
"Gilbert" I whispered.
Their eyes started shining.
"I-I'm not sure he's coming though. And I haven't told him where we're going yet..."
"Give me that phone." Said Nicole, but she reached out for it before I could. "Done, now he has the address."
My phone rang. Another message from him.
"I'm sorry, I can't make it. See you soon."
"And that's weird." Said Marie. "He hasn't shown up at school either these days."
"I know.." I murmured.

After we went karaoke, we called it a night and all of us went home.
Days have passed and I still knew nothing about Gilbert. I was worried sick. After that evening at the karaoke, he hasn't texted me anymore and hasn't replied to my texts. It was the 23rd December already, late afternoon. I picked up my bike and headed towards his house, which wasn't that far so I could arrive there in an hour or so.
As soon as I got there, I dropped my bike close to the entrance and rang the bell. No one answered. I tried again, but nothing happened.
Where was he?
Did something bad happen?
Or did he just decide to ignore me and avoid me?
I waited almost an hour in front of his house before getting on my bike and riding back home, thoughtful.
