The life changing trip

*Part 19*

'Asli's POV '

I got ready for work, I already knew today is gonna be a weird day. Mel made breakfast for everyone because today is her turn to do everything like laundry, cooking and stuff. I ate my food and took my coffee. Alex and Toni ran around because they have an appointment at the gynecologist. They slept in and have to hurry up. It is stressing me out that they are running around and it's not good for her to stress. "Alright I am done, you all have a good day I am out" I say as I grab my coffee and walk outside. I walk towards my car and see Ethan running out of the house towards my car. He knocks on the window and I open it. "What do you want I don't want to be late" "Can I come with you, we have the same shift today and I don't want to take my car." He asks and I shrug and nod my head. He gets in and puts his hand on my thigh. I am already regretting this. I take his hand away and luckily he doesn't do anything else. We arrive after 20 minutes. I park the car and we walk to the building. Maybe I should be more thankful towards him because without him I wouldn't have the job. We get in the elevator and other people get in in every floor. We get out in our floor and walk towards our office. Yes we have to share one because they said we are a good team... what ever at least I have a job. We prepare everything for the meeting which is really important for me and the company. "I have to get something" Ethan says and my head snaps up. I was busy checking everything one last time before my break, there can't be any mistakes. "Alright just don't be late you know it is important for the company, and especially for me" I say and he roles his eyes and nodes. He gets out and my attention is back at the project. After 5 minutes I am done and to be honest I am proud and excited about this. I get out and tell my secretary to get me some coffee. I sit down in a couch which gives me a perfect view of the city. I drink my coffee to calm myself and get ready for the presentation. After my break I get back to my office and look at the clock. Ethan was supposed to be here at least 5 minutes before the presentation. I try to calm myself down and think about an excuse but my boss is already knocking on my door. 5 other people sit down and I start the presentation. I introduce myself and when I am done the door opens and Ethan walks in with a smirk on his face. How unprofessional. I mentally role my eyes. He walks towards me and as he gets closer I can see lipstick stains all over his lips neck and jaw. I finish the presentation. To be honest I think it went well. My boss gets up and says goodbye to the other guys. He walks over to me and shakes my hand "That was a really good presentation. I am glad we have you on the team" "Thank you very much" he nods and walks out. I turn to ethan and my mood sinks again "what was that?" I ask "what was what,it went well just calm down" "you were too late, you have lipstick all over you and you just are unprofessional. I don't want to work with you anymore to be honest. I deserve something better" he glares at me and I pack my things really quick. I look back at him. He is on his phone,what is he even doing here. He realize  that I am staring and after a while he realised why I was staring. He gets up and we walk to my car
*skip ride*
We arrive at the house and I quickly get out and walk up to Mel's room. I tell her everything about Ethan and me and how he is treating me and she seams weird. "Are you drunk?" I ask "no just tell me. Are you talking about Ethan ?" I nod and continue. I keep telling her what he did and she opens her mouth but closes it again and gets up and runs out of her room. She is so weird but that's nothing new, she is always like that when she is drunk. I get up and walk towards my room, I am done with him. I won't do shit for him. Tomorrow I will ask my boss about a new partner. But for now I am taking nap.
*after the nap*

I hear a knock on my door and the door opens I see Toni smiling at me "I didn't say come in" she smiley and holds up her middle finger I laugh and so does she. She walks towards me and looks really excited. "What is it girl." "Soooo me and Alex went to the doctors today and he told us the gender" she said. My eyes widen and I get up and jump on the bed. "No freaking way omg what is it?" "It's a boy" she said smiling proudly. "Omg I can't believe it. We are going to have a little boy running around the house in like 6 month. Time flies omg. I am so happy for you. Does Mel know?" I ask she shakes her head no still smiling "Alex told me to stay away from her today because she took drugs but I know she wouldn't do anything she isn't like that. So can you come with me? And tell her ?" I nod and say "I thought she was drunk because she was weird earlier but ...why did she took drugs is she stupid she literally knows that it's not good for her" I nod and we get up and walk towards her room. She lays down in her and we decided to wake her up by jumping on her bed and so we did. We started jumping on the bed and screamed "IT'S A BOY, IT'S A BOY" She gets up and looks at us confused but once she realized what we said her eyes widen and she starts laughing "no way you are having a little baby boy. I am so happy for you right know" she gets up and hugs her. "Thank you so much, we went to the doctors today and he told us that he is fine and healthy" Mel claps her hand excited and we sit down in her bed. "We should have a babyshower." Mel suggests and i continue "Yes and we are going to organise everything so you won't have to stress about anything." We all start talking about the babyshower and about the details I want it to be perfect because she deserves it. And we plan on surprising Alex because he is being such a good 'father' I guess you could say. I am really happy about the news right know. It's just a really good think to get away from that Ethan thing...
