The life changing trip

*Part 22*

'Asli's POV '
He looks really handsome. He walks towards me and says "hey are you Ms. Günel? " I'm trying to hide my smile. "Yes that's me, and what's your name?" hopefully he's  my new partner my boss told me about. "My name is Nate, Nate Garner." He says and gives me his hand. I shake his  hand and look at his face. He has beautiful blue eyes. He smiles and his eyes shine. He pulls his hand away and I look away realizing that I was staring at him the whole time. "So you must be my new partner then?" I ask trying to hide the fact that I was just starring at him like some crazy person. "Yes, I'm gonna grab my stuff from my car. I'll be back in 5." He says and walks out. I let myself fall back in my chair and I face palm myself. He is just my partner I have to calm down. I organise my desk a little bit. When he comes back I tell him about everything we do and my last project and about the project I am working on now and what he has to do. He nods and we start working. After 2 hours I close my laptop and look at him. He looks up and smiles at me. "We have a break right know, there is a vending machine next to the elevator or you can go to the cafeteria." I get up and walk out but before I am out I hear him say my name and I turn around. "Maybe we can go together?" I am blushing at what he said. I nod and he gets up and walks towards me. We walk towards the cafeteria and the minute we enter someone bumps into me and I fall to the ground. I look up and see Ethan. I role my eyes and to my surprise Nate speaks up. "Hey look were your going. And excuse yourself, you maybe hurt her." He helps me up and Ethan stands in front of us in shock. He looks him up and down and walks away. "Is he working here? He is really weird" Nate asks and I nod but I don't say anything else because I don't want him to ask more questions about him. We get our food and sit down. We talk about his job and career and what he is planning on doing. He life seems very interesting. After we are done we get back to work. We work in silence until he gets up and walk towards me. "What do you think about that design" he asks really close towards me. "W-well I-I think it's great, what is it for?" I ask and I mentally face palm myself. "It's for the third part. I think it would really fit in with the colours and stuff." He says and I nod. He gets back to his seat and I try to calm my breathing. I look up to the door and I see Ethan standing in the door frame. How long is he standing there already? I can see that he is really angry because he is pressing his lips together and the vein on his neck is popping out. Next thing is him walking towards nate and throwing him off the chair. And throwing punches at him. Why is he doing that? Can't he just leave us alone. I get up from my chair and try to pull Ethan away from him but he pushes me off and I trip on something and I fall and hit my head on my desk. I can feel a warm sticky substant and i look at my fingers and I see blood. Ethan stops hitting Nate when he pushes him off of him and runs towards me. Ethan looks at me in shock when he realized what he just did. He gets up and grips onto his hair. He opens his mouth but closes it again "I I am s-sorry... I..." he looks to the floor and runs out of the office. Nate picks me up and walks towards the elevator. "I'm gonna bring you to the hospital" "No please not, can you just bring me home, please?" He nods and he drives me home. I hug him and says "Thank you so much, and i am sorry. I hope he didn't hurt you" "No he didn't hurt me, but he hurt you and I don't like when a men hurts a woman." I nod and Hug him one last time until I walk in. I walk straight to my room and go to my bed. I put a towel on my pillow, because I don't want the blood on there and it's just a small scar. I lay down and close my. And I immediately feel tired and fall asleep.
