James's POV

Everyone had abandoned both me and her. The police stopped looking, the blackmailer stopped sending me anything about them, and all my friends did was try to stop me from finding her. It was terrible. It's like they hated her. But how could they? She's perfect, she's an angel. She's my girl. My Riles. Everyone kept telling me to stop looking, that I was harming myself. They didn't realize that the little sleep I get at night comes from the happy thought that someone's looking for her. That someone's willing to find her. They kept saying I was going mad, it was driving me to insanity, but it was being without her that made me insane, not the searching. Anything I had been mad about, I had long forgotten. I needed to find her, if not for myself, for Emily. She had become physically sick from worrying about Riley. She's been in hospital for 3 months. She doesn't deserve that. So I need to find Riley. Not only is Riley my girl, she's also the mother of my child, who I barely know. I've only ever seen an ultrasound photo from when they were about 12 weeks old. I need more. I need to know where my child is, I don't understand who would do this to her. It's horrible. It's inhuman. Locking a pregnant girl up, hiding her from daylight to torture the people closest to her. It's insane. Whoever did this to Riley is the insane one, not me. I turned the key, unlocking the studio doors, like I do every morning, and have since Emily was emitted in hospital. I walked in and went straight to Riley's desk, inside her office. I sat in her chair, turning on her laptop, to do some work for her studio. It's all Riley's. This was all taken from her. I couldn't get rid of her stuff, because I knew she'd come back. There was, however, a tiny part of me that wondered. It's been 8 months, she could be dead for all I know. Maybe she isn't coming back. I always scolded myself when I thought that. She will come back. I just don't know when. I had the office doors closed, and was half filling in documents for Regionals, half thinking of information as to where Riley might be. All of the sudden, a knock at the door pulled me out of my thoughts. Michelle was standing outside the office, waiting impatiently. I waved my hand, and she opened the door, opening her mouth to speak. "I'm not giving up on looking for Riley." I said, before she could speak, guessing what she was going to say.
"I wasn't going to say that." She told me, placing her hands on her hips. "There's something you should see in Riley's old cubby." She finished. I sighed, pushing the chair back and standing up, walking over to what was now Pipers cubby. She was standing with her dance bag on her shoulder, arms crossed. The couple other members of A troupe that had arrived were also standing around the cubby. I looked inside, to see an odd sight. Inside the cubby was a baby.
