Piper's POV

"I did it." Alfie said, not showing any signs of remorse. My eyes widened in shock, and Henry let go of Alfie, quickly moving away from him. I was shocked out of my mind. I had done a duet with him, I had been friends with him, he had been so nice, so caring, so calm, and behind it all he was this. A monster. I don't know how he could take Riley away from all her family and friends, keeping her to himself, and then see us everyday, without any guilt. "The best part is no one would've known, or at least I thought so. But of course Michelle had to see it happen, I had to come up with something quick to shut her up." He said, staring straight at her. Michelle looked guilty, tears rolling down her face. "I guess the promise of the same thing happening to her sister was enough for her to stay quiet for 9 months." Alfie spat, turning his gaze towards Richelle, who stood with her eyes wide. "I should've killed Riley and that damn child after that, when I had the chance." He said.
"Don't you dare touch them!" James yelled, a look in his eyes that I had never seen before. I couldn't take anymore, I slipped my phone out of my pocket, and dialled the 3 digit number silently. It didn't take long before the operator picked up.

I looked down at Finley, who was in my arms. Alfie was in custody, and Riley had thankfully been found. The police took her to the hospital, and she was now in her room. I stared into the child eyes, and I couldn't imagine how someone could leave him somewhere at only 2 days old. How someone could rip a mother away from her baby. It wasn't right.

James's POV

I opened the door slowly. I was the first person allowed to see Riley, she hadn't had any other visitors. She heard the sound of the door creaking open, and turned to look at me. She froze, seeing me. I slowly walked over to her, the only sound being the beeping of the heart monitor. She continued to stare at me, breathing heavily. The last time I'd spoken to her, I had yelled at her for cheating. I'd called her a slut. My heart dropped thinking about that. For the last 9 months, the last memory she's had of me, one of the only things she was holding onto, was me yelling at her, making her cry. Breaking her heart. She looked away from me, tears rolling down her face. I hung my head. It's the thing that's been haunting me for the last 9 months coming to be reality, she hates me.
"James, please listen to me." She said desperately, grabbing my arm.
"I don't care!" I yelled at her. "If you were really sorry, if you really loved me you wouldn't have kissed him, would you?!" I asked. Tears fell down her face as she begged me to stay, to listen, but I didn't. I didn't want to hear her anymore. "Riley, you've destroyed something really special, you know that?" I said to her.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to. He reminded me too much of you, I lost myself. I never meant for it to happen. I never meant to kiss him. You need to understand that!" She pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
"You're a slut. Leave me alone!" I told her sternly, turning and walking out of her office.
I felt tears slowly start to fall down my face at the memory. She's my world, and she'll never forgive me.
