Mystery POV

I feel really guilty watching James everyday. He comes into the studio, spends his time looking for Riley, goes home, spends more time looking for Riley, sleeps, repeat. I know what happened, sort of. I think I know who took Riley, why she's not here. I can't say though, they'd hurt her, as well as someone else. They're truly evil, they've threatened me with 2 people's safety, I can't say something and risk harming them. Riley's a friend, but I had to make a choice. It was tough, but I made it. I wouldn't change my choice, but that doesn't mean I don't regret it. I'm not a bad person, I'm just protecting the people I'm close to. Besides, if I said anything anyway, they'd probably hurt Riley before the police got there, so either way I'd lose 2 people. 1 person is better, trust me.

James's POV

I watched A troupe rehearse their Regionals routine. We hadn't won last year, but when your studio head goes missing it's kind of distracting, so we're heading in twice as hard. It's not for 4 months though, so we still have plenty of time to practice. Something seemed off as they danced though, Amanda seems distracted. She's a beat behind, she's not paying attention, it's like she's dancing blindfolded, which according to the people that were in the blindfolded routine at Internationals, is 'harder than you'd think, especially when you're on a stage.' After going through the routine once more, they agreed on a break, and everyone split to calm down for a second. Amanda walked by the office, and hesitated, before stepping inside. "James, I really am sorry about Riley." She said. I shrugged.
"No need, it's not like you did this to her. Besides, you're her friend too, you must be missing her as well." I told her. She bit her lip, looking away. It was quiet for a moment, before she spoke again.
"How's Finn? I've barely heard him at all." She said, looking over at the pack and play in the corner of the office.
"He's good. Sleeping mostly so that's probably why he's quiet." I said. She walked over and looked in to see him asleep.
"He's so cute. I can't get over that." She said, staring at him. "You know, I can definitely see both of you, your hair colour, lips, and size probably, I mean, Riley's so tiny." She told me, causing me to chuckle. She was right, Riley was really tiny. "And Riley's nose, cheekbones, jaw, and eyes. Who knew your kid could be so darn cute?" She exclaimed, looking away from Finley to me again. I chuckled once again. I pushed the desk chair back, and stood up, walking over to where Amanda was to look at Finn as well. I smiled at the sleeping child.
"My kid." I whispered to myself. I still couldn't believe it. This is my child, well, mine and Riley's. I almost felt bad, he may never get to see his mom. He may never remember her. I feel like, if Finn never gets to meet his mother, I need to do as much as I can to make up for it. Make sure he has a good life. The ringing of the phone pulls me out of my thoughts. I walk over to it, and answer. I hear Finley stir as I speak into the phone. "Hello?" I said, waiting for a response.
"Mr. Brennan, it's detective Hodgins calling. We think we've located your girlfriend." A male voice spoke. At those words, my heart stopped.
